The media has reported that about 35% of the households in this country
have not returned the Census forms. This week, Census takers (officially,
Enumerators) have fanned out across America
to collect the info from those who haven't sent in the forms yet. Many
people are upset by the intrusive nature of the interminable questions
and don't like being asked to hand over such private and personal data.
Answer? Don't.
If you don't want to fork over your private affairs to the government,
just tell the census taker that any question asked of you other than your
name is PERSONAL and PRIVATE. No matter what the census taker may attempt
to say or attempt to intimidate you with, stick to your guns.
Keep on responding "It's personal" to each and every question that you
don't want to answer on the census form. Eventually the Census taker will
go away, so relax.
