Put Yourself in Bush's Shoes - What Would You Do?

Imagine being president Bush, and consider how you would handle the situation he's in.

The particular problem that can never leave the back of your mind is that you've recently murdered 3000 people as part of a nefarious scheme to seize middle eastern oil reserves, and make a killing on military-industrial corporations while at the same time depriving American citizens of their beloved civil rights. The plan worked well. The attacks on the pentagon and world trade center left the nation trembling in fear, and congress has granted you authorization for war powers that suspended freedoms while attacking whomever you damn well please, by simply claiming that nation harbors terrorists or has weapons of mass destruction.

Common sense may be uncommon but this has been suspected by people worldwide who have connected the many dots - all the empirical evidence that 9/11 was an inside job by those who had motive and intent. And now a government insider has the proof that you signed the orders for 9/11 and Cheney ran the operation that morning.

Unfortunately, there is a growing number of citizens banding together in small groups to network the truth that you're guilty of treason and mass murder. These independent thinking individuals are well aware that Patriot Acts I and II and the huge Homeland Security bureaucracy were not created to protect the American people from terrorists, but rather, to override the public's Constitutional rights, run surveillance on them and protect you and the other mass murdering tyrants in the White House from the American people. What's a criminal to do!

You weren't completely unprepared for opposition, and all your anthrax attacks, plane crashes, threats and intimidation have neutralized dissent in congress, but the problem of vocal citizens continues to grow. They're spread across the country, hardly banded together at all, so it's almost impossible to even estimate their number. What you do know is that if something isn't done to stop them their numbers will continue to grow, and it will eventually cost you your head.

These are the times that try men's souls... if you have one. And God knows your soul habit was kind of lost in all those years of boozing and cocaine snorting while your Pappy set you up for the Presidency. So what the hell. Where do you go from here?

As you said at the beginning of 9/11... everyone is either with you or with the terrorists. In your mind, everyone is a potential terrorist if they challenge your authority, your patriotism, your compassionate conservatism and the illusion you maintain of righteous crusade against all those evil does in the Middle East, North Korea or across America. Holy War, endless war, World War III... whatever it takes.

So where is this going?

Desperate men do desperate things. This is a dangerous time.
