I am writing to all the health news sites to ask them to please urgently send out information through their newsletters to alert people to the coming threat of losing access to their vitamins, minerals and food supplements.

The pharmaceutical cartel want to take over this highly lucrative business and over the last few years has been busy buying up vitamin companies and even organic ones in order to take over the natural health industry. This would mean we would still have access to vitamins, etc. but they would be of a vastly inferior quality, low potency and synthetic. Many, many products will disappear altogether.

Through Codex the pharmas have put pressure on governments worldwide to bring in restrictive measures which in the UK alone will wipe 5,000 products off the shelves of the health food stores.

This Codex legislation has already affected Australia and Canada and will eventually affect the US.

In Europe, the EU Food Supplements Directive has been transposed into law but is currently being challenged in court by the Alliance for Natural Health using a top firm of London lawyers who have already successfully overturned an EU Directive before. The EU Food Supplements Directive is the first of three.

The other two are the EU Traditional Herbal Medicines Directive and the EU Pharmaceutical Directive. The herbal directive will drastically reduce access to herbs and the the Pharmaceutical Directive will seek to licence any product that has a medicinal effect on the body (anything not covered by the other two Directives).

It is in effect an attempt to wipe out access to all alternative or natural medicine.

The reason for this is because people in their millions are turning away from toxic chemical drugs and using natural medicine. Thus the pharmaceutical companies are losing billions worldwide. Therefore they want to put a stop to it by leaning on governments to accept the Codex legislation.

The Alliance for Natural Health (www.alliance-natural-health.org ) are now the only organisation that has any chance of overturning this Directive using their top London lawyers. See their website to read all about it. The ANH has huge support in Europe and throughout the world.

Unfortunately the pharmas have deliberately created a worldwide network of controlled opposition organisations that have been set up to deliberately mislead vitamin companies and the public to believe their is no threat and nothing to worry about. With the amount of money at their disposal and with so much to lose, you can see why this tactic has been employed.

At the moment many people, especially in the US are in denial about the threat and find it difficult to see why they need to donate to a UK organisation who have mounted a legal challenge to the EU Food Supplements Directive. The fact is that if this EU legislation can be overturned, then it will halt similar legislation planned for the US which is going to be harmonised to EU law.

I would be grateful if after studying the website you could urgently get something out to your readers as soon as possible as the ANH needs to raise more money for their legal challenge on 30th January 2004.
