Micah has made exceptional achievements in his chosen profession
of law enforcement. In his two years of service he has made over 400 arrests,
including 213 arrests for outstanding warrants and nearly 40 drug-titled
offenses. He has an excellent attendance record and daily displays a positive
attitude and a strong work ethic. To date this year, Micah had received
eight letters of commendation.
Officer Aldred excels in the areas of personal improvement,
social improvement to major contemporary problems, and voluntary service.
During high school, Micah played defensive end on the football team and
had been offered a scholarship. However during the first game of his senior
year, he suffered a broken neck which ended his hopes of a football career.
He continued on where he served in the military for four years and became
a helicopter maintenance technician. After receiving an honorable discharge,
Micah attended College of the Mainland and Alvin Community College resulting
in him being commissioned as a peace officer. Since his employment as a
peace officer, he has continued his professional education and has become
certified as an H.G.N. practitioner and F.T.O. Micah hopes to continue his
service in law enforcement as a canine officer or narcotics investigator.
Micah has been devoting his time to community service since
high school. He served as a volunteer firefighter for the Dickenson Fire
Department from 1994 to 1999. He served the United States Army for four
years as a helicopter maintenance technician. He served briefly in the National
Guard and currently serves the Baytown community as a police officer.
Officer Aldred’s humanitarian efforts are displayed
daily as he serves as a police officer. He exemplifies the Jaycee Creed
that states, “Service to humanity is the best work of life”,
as his life since high school has been dedicated to public service as shown
by his service with the fire department, military, and police department.
The Baytown Police Department is proud of its officer and
his accomplishments. We feel that he is truly deserving of the award.
The Jaycees is an organization that provides young people
between the ages of 21 and 39, leadership and personal training opportunities
through community service and involvement.
