  Another word which plays a significant role in every tyrannical thrust for power, a classic military strategy: "DIVERSION." Not in the recreational sense, such as being parked 7 hours a day in front of the television, or shopping to relieve stress—I’m talking about calculated maneuvers to throw off scrutiny and investigation. Also can be used as an adjective, as in: "Listen, Dick, I think we need to launch some more of those diversionary tacticalities, to hold off the pack of hyenas in the press."

  What is so astounding about the otherwise horrifying Bush regime is their clownish style of thuggery. There has been no subtlety in anything they have done, from bullying their way into the White House to reducing Afghanistan to a burning heap of rubble. They have been so bold in their thrust toward absolute power, that many Americans are making the mistake of not taking them seriously, just as German citizens at one time found another brash party of far-right extremists laughable.

 At this point, so many unanswered questions and suppressed investigations are shadowing the Bush regime that it may take a few decades to sort it all out. Humankind has come to a crossroads in the new millennium. We have no choice now but to address fundamental survival issues on a planetary scale. And in every corner of the planet today, you will find the Bush regime obfuscating the problems of petroleum, nuclear weapons, global warming, covert warfare, and economic exploitation.

 The reasons for Bush’s diversionary warmongering are obvious, but the specific questions we should ask may be too elusive for "mainstream" sensibilities. Returning to fundamental values, we can address what is REALLY going on : What IS "America" and what does it stand for? What is a human being, and what is murder? What is the life of a child worth? What is “freedom”? Is there hope for justice without truth?

Dig Deeper into the Rubble of World Trade
Remember, if you are able, back to the days before the 9-11 attacks. Recall that the Bush administration was sliding in popularity, had yet to make significant official appointments, was floundering in foreign policy and economic strategy, was facing growing allegations over a stolen election. Anyone remember the election fraud in Florida?

  Then suddenly, BOOM! In a matter of hours the tide was shifted toward a domestic war, and fear became the order of the day. A people who feel threatened are always easily moved toward patriotic and militaristic ends. As the Trade Towers fell, so did the hopes and dreams of an entire nation. Conservative values suddenly became obligatory.

  As a veteran of Bush Sr.’s Gulf War, I remember the initial reaction of many veterans on that brutal day: There is no way any group could have carried out such a complex incursion without assistance from US agencies. It’s likely a terrorist cell could hijack a plane and crash it, yes, but a second plane, a third and fourth plane, and then crash one into the Pentagon? No way. Can’t happen without a go-ahead from shadowy US sectors. We were stunned into silence.

  It was absolutely unthinkable, part of the calculated strategy. Americans simply refuse to believe that our own secret government and military would be so EVIL as to be involved in such a horrific attack. Yet if you recall in the first week after 9-11, you will remember that the Pentagon and the CIA came out admitting that these terrorists had been trained by our own intelligence in covert warfare.  I recall one report that specifically gave the name of one Al Qaeda leader on each plane who had been trained at Ft. Benning’s “School of the Assassins.” Then, within the next week, this avenue of disclosure went silent.

  Anyone who has been reading their email in the past year knows there are thousands of questionable threads of evidence regarding the events of 9-11-2001. Why were the Air Force jets not scrambled when they could easily have prevented the second plane from hitting the Towers? How is it that a plane smashed into the Pentagon, when Air Force jets just minutes away had over an hour to scramble? Was it actually a plane that hit the Pentagon, and where are the pictures? Was there evidence of forewarning in the trading of stock and the movement of employees that day? How is it that George Bush claims to have seen the plane hitting the first Tower while reading to schoolkids in Florida, when that footage wasn’t available until later in the evening? And just what were these terrorists doing in our country, with authorization from US agencies?

  The Bush administration, in their characteristic heavy-handedness, has refused to release evidence regarding what the President knew, or should have known, or to cooperate with Congressional investigations at all. We have one branch of our government being forced to take another to court to try to get even a preliminary level of clarity, and these are our alleged “representative” branches. How many Americans stop to think about what the CIA, the NSA, the NRO and the other military spy agencies actually DO? In the darkness, beyond the reach of any representative, with secret plans and “assets”…

  One word Americans should become very familiar with, a term which sums up the 9-11 attacks on many levels: “BLOWBACK.” It’s military slang for what happens when your own nasty operatives, weapons, or strategies turn back against you. Considering US covert warfare, around the world, every day, 24 hours a day, having killed millions of innocent people over the past 50 years since the National Security Act was signed, “blowback” seems inevitable. Covert warfare having provided security for multinational corporations and puppet tyrants, in Afghanistan (remember, Al Qaeda were OUR guys!), Guatemala, Indonesia, El Salvador, Chile, throughout Africa, the Philippines, and the Middle East. Remember, Saddam Hussein was also “Our Guy,” once upon a covert operation.

  Does the United States support terrorism? It depends on whether it’s your family being terrorized, tortured, and murdered, or it’s taking place in some forgettable corner of the world producing products for your supermarket. Only the most brutally honest Americans, such as former CIA Commander (Angola, Vietnam) John Stockwell, dare call it “holocaust.” His estimate: between 2 and 4 million people killed in these covert wars, mostly beyond the awareness of the average American, beyond the reach of our representative government, beyond the understanding of a moral human being. All because Truman signed away our Constitution 50 years ago, to ensure our “National Security.”

  So next time you hear some talking head referring to "what happened on September the 11th," ask yourself: "What DID happen on 9-11-2001?" Has anyone truly revealed the details, the causes, the hidden agendas and connections? Can we feel confident to trust the CIA and the Bush regime to tell us what happened on that murderous day?

Immaculate Deception & Mass Graves in Panama
To say the Bush family is involved in these covert wars and “blowback” coming back to haunt us is a gross understatement. Any activist worth their salt in America knows that George Bush Sr.’s career traces a path through the darkest conspiracies of the last half-century, from Vietnam to Cuba, the assassination of JFK (that Texas slither again), drugs for arms in Central America, deals with oil barons in the Middle East, S&L and stock market fraud in the billions of dollars, election fraud around the world (and yes--Florida), tainted genetically-engineered vaccines in Africa and in our own troops, and oh yes, the global warming thing.

  All of these involvements are AFTER the Bush family made a fortune in WWII assisting both the Allies and the Nazis, when Prescott Bush was helping finance Hitler, in support of his eugenic “Final Solution.” Does white supremacy thrive in America? I don’t know, let’s take a look into the White House right now… um… yes, it’s seems quite profitable actually! Of course, the average American finds this line of inquiry unthinkable. It’s as if a light bulb is turned off as their eyes glaze over… Slavery? Genocide? Conspiracy? You’re crazy!

  You may ask: why aren’t widespread investigations in the press and halls of justice taking place, if there is so much evidence of conspiracy? This is perhaps the most significant question every American should be asking now, on the anniversary of the 9-11 attacks. Where are the investigations? Where is the evidence? Who are we being told to believe, and who is not telling anything? Consider carefully the direction we are being herded, and the consequences IF there is any shade of a possibility that the REAL threat to our “Homeland Security” is within, arming themselves against their own people…

  We’re all living in a war zone, under Bush’s “War on Terror,” and the basic human rights we formerly took for granted have been suspended. Throughout history, a continuing quandary for civilization has been: WHO POLICES THE POLICE? Under a global secret police, and a unilateral superpower military, who or what is holding it all in check? The answer is: the wolves are guarding the sheep. Wake up, Americans! What has REALLY happened under Bush is the CIA has taken over the Executive Branch, with a scheme toward a “Homeland Security” Department that will seal their totality of influence and leave no stone unturned in neutralizing opposition, both domestic and foreign.

  It would all seem laughable, like the latest crop of CIA TV shows which conveniently popped up after the World Trade attacks, or a bad James Bond movie, if it weren’t so Orwellian. It’s not the Bush/CIA regime that scares me as much as the sheepish American compliance with “approval ratings”… once a nation of rebels, now an overweight herd of consumers. The White House is operating as if in the Land of Oz-Fest it’s all become an entertainment, even the towers crashing down around us. Pay no attention to those men in black behind the curtain, it’s time for “Gulf War 2: Cheney’s Revenge.” And everyone in Kansas has to have the latest American flag baseball cap …

  On a global level, world citizens should also be questioning the fundamentals. Which country has the largest arsenal of weapons-of-mass destruction, and has shown a willingness to use them, even on civilians? Yes, you should include the mass-dispersal napalm weapons the US perfected in the first Gulf War, which create localized extermination (the size of five football fields) without radioactivity, a hot seller! What is the responsibility of the European imperial countries toward their former colonies, and why has American imperialism gone unchecked, colonized by multinational corporations, organized criminals, drug-dealers and arms merchants? Where is the outrage?

 Bushanomics 101: Oil, Arms & Drugs for the Rich
 I will leave it to my more educated elders, such as MIT professor Noam Chomsky and Green Party leader Ralph Nader, to lay out the complex web of economic deceit and greed underlying the Bush regime. That is, IF they ever get any airtime on CNN or Fox, between the patriotic propaganda and SUV ads. Let’s just focus on one of the many millionaires who has wormed himself into the upper echelons of power: Halliburton CEO Dick Cheney.

  A very basic question Americans should be asking, as Cheney stands up and sweeps all controversy aside by crying for the head of Saddam, is: Can Cheney’s $20 million “separation bonus” from Halliburton be considered a bribe? After all, he helped set up the first Gulf War, from which Halliburton reaped over a billion dollars, in their business of building airfields, supplying machinery, transporting oil, etc. Once Cheney was out of Bush Sr.’s Cabinet, Halliburton made sure he was lauded and lavished, made CEO, to the tune of over $40 million. Then a nice slap on the butt with a $20 million bonus to go back and be a “team player.” It’s time for Gulf War II: Halliburton’s Next Big Windfall!

  How very cynical these tycoons are, as if the whole world is an oil-soaked oyster, ripe for their prying. No opposition, as long as the CIA covers their butts… even Daddy Bush’s Supreme Court appointees have gone along with the scam! They know they can bully the UN to their ends, to get the war machinery primed. And once the war is fully embroiled, and we have enough American casualties, there will be no stopping the Republican elite. Under Bush’s war culture, all questioning has been slapped aside, all protest dismissed as “Un-American,” all Democrats labeled as troublemakers. Hell, once you’ve got the secret police and the nuclear buttons, who needs democracy?

  In a comical, Jungian twist of post-modern psychology, everything that George Jr. has attempted to say lately to spark hatred for Saddam Hussein has actually been a kind of global shadow-boxing of self-exposure. The petty tyrant with weapons of mass destruction who can’t be trusted, a threat to the world, etc. In a cartoonish progression of unraveling industrial militarism, the son of the father has become the shadow of the arch-enemy. It’s almost as if the Bush agenda and the Austin Powers franchise are both being written by the same propaganda team. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if they are!

  How to entertain the people while confusing them, advertise the most profitable products and force them to buy (pharmaceuticals, petroleum, and weapons), and turn global criminals into patriotic heroes. Not even Orwell could have dreamed up such a sinister and cynical group of people as the Reagan-Bush-Republican elite. The most disturbing aspect of their tyrannical thrust toward global dominance, however, is the collusion and acquiescence of the European allies, the United Nations, and the American people, while millions of people have been killed, many of them still in mass graves in Guatemala, Panama, El Salvador, Afghanistan, and the deserts of Iraq. And you compliant people, damn you, never listen to the veterans! Pardon me for being brutally honest…

Cowboys vs. Indians: The Next Millennium
 While the Bush regime has been busy overthrowing a democracy, blowing stuff up, and instituting an unstoppable police state, what has been going on in the outlying areas of the American empire? Does anyone remember that the US is currently occupying large parts of the Pacific, part of Cuba, Okinawa, and yes, even Saudi Arabia, home of the arch-nemesis Osama Bin Laden? Well, the people who live in those places remember…

  Let’s address one significant occupation in particular which the US military takes very seriously, since it is currently the operations center for the Pacific Central Command. How many Americans have heard anything at all about the fact that, while you’ve been so busy waving flags, watching football, and living in fear, the Sovereign Nation of Hawai’I has been reestablished ( http://hawaiiankingdom.org )?

  Oh, “I thought Hawaiians were all American citizens” you say? Do you know anything at all about the real history of American empire in Hawai’I? That a racist conspiracy of industrial militarists used the US Marines to forced the Hawaiian Sovereign, with which the US had formal treaties, out of her Palace at cannon-point? So the Dole family could create a “Republic” and sell lots of pineapples, and the US military could occupy Pearl Harbor? Oh, “that was so long ago” you say…. That’s what native people always hear.

  Have Americans heard anything at all from the most educated Native Hawaiian people, the PhDs and professors, the MDs, military officers, and lawyers? Nearly every one of them have given eloquent speeches, and written books, about why they are NOT American citizens, why Hawai’I is still legally a sovereign kingdom, and why the US military continues to occupy their nation. Do you ever hear them mentioned in Washington, DC? Interviewed on CNN, or even NPR? Ask yourselves why….

  Consider for a moment what the implications for US global military dominance are if the islands of Hawai’I are admitted to be illegally occupied, under a genocidal scheme which includes the continued bombing of Native Hawaiians’ most sacred places, and continued seizing of their native homelands? What does Mr. Bush have to say about Native Hawaiians’ “Homeland Security”? Absolutely nothing! In fact, US politicians avoid even visiting Hawai’I for fear of being confronted with Hawaiian sovereignty issues, and discredited on a global scale. This is an example of a cultural conspiracy of silence.

  Just how seriously does the US military take the possible loss of the Hawaiian islands? While America was watching New York, they have stepped up their black helicopter incursions, bombing tests, expansion of bases, deployment of troops, and recruitment campaigns on all the islands. Currently they are planning to seize some 100,000 more acres of Hawaiian homelands, to expand their bombing range in the most sacred, and endangered area between Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea. Did any American out there know there is a bombing area in the habitat of the most endangered tropical birds on the planet, between the two most massive and sacred volcanoes, a bombing zone the size of three Districts of Columbia? On Native Hawaiian land? You might want to rethink the word “genocide”… as in cultural genocide, a violation of international law.

Total Space Dominance: Welcome to Planet Warzone
 Under the Bush regime, while Americans and the rest of the world were otherwise preoccupied with terrorism and a collapsing economy, the US military forces have been busy accelerating toward orbital velocity with what they officially term “Total Space Dominance.” If you read carefully, this includes outer space and inner space, as in orbiting space-based weapons and nuclear submarines. In other words, absolute control of the entire planet militarily. I wish I could say this is a science fiction scenario from a B-movie festival, but it’s the actual US military-industrial-complex agenda, to the tune of TRILLIONS of dollars.

   This is where we launch into extreme Orwellian space, folks. Consider that all this technology for covert surveillance, mass extermination, and global enforcement will basically cost your children’s education and health budget, unless you happen to be one of the gifted elite who owns an underground bunker in Montana. That’s what both Orwell and General Eisenhower were warning us against in the last century: The real purpose of modern industrial warfare, while useful for annihilating your opposition, is to make a few people insanely rich while wasting the resources of most of the rest of the world. To create poverty, instability, and general terror, because in this atmosphere, no one has the luxury of getting an education, or thinking very deeply, or mounting an opposition.

   If the Bush regime goes ahead with its secret agenda, and the US military achieve “Total Space Dominance,” the 9-11 attacks (if they actually were launched by outside opposition) may be the last major act of defiance. You can see where the game is headed by how the elite US forces handled the opposition in Afghanistan: remotely controlled robot weapons which simply exterminate anyone or anything in a targetted area. X-Ray laser weapons are even more efficient… a burst of intense energy and FLASH!… no evidence that anything was there before. Directed energy weapons were used in Afghanistan, and are currently being installed on satellites and US fighter jets.

   Again, the most disturbing aspect of this thrust toward global tyranny is the compliance of the people of America, who seem to believe it’s all a big TV show, or a global football game, as long as our supermarkets stay open 24 hours. Where are the investigations, the outrage, hell, I’d even settle for whining at this point… Meanwhile the dolphins and whales are succumbing to sonic weaponry under the oceans, and the web of death grows ever more deadly in our skies.

  Another somewhat obscure, but extraordinary angle of this space-based war front is the Disclosure Project, currently being deployed via DVD and the Internet. Over 400 US and British military officers, scientists, and pilots give expert testimony that the US military and secret agencies are violently suppressing evidence that EXTRATERRESTRIAL CIVILIZATIONS are interacting with humanity, and have been for at least 50 years. Can you feel your cultural conditioning kick in?: “Oh that crazy talking bunch of conspiracy nuts…” Well, in this case the expert testimony would convince any court in the world.

  Some of these officers, who worked on space-based weapons projects, claim that the US is unilaterally attempting to militarize Earth’s orbit with directed energy weapons to shoot at Extraterrestrials, who obviously have technology far in advance of anything on Earth. Apparently the US military is extremely pissed off because the ETs keep stealing their nuclear weapons! I’m not sure this can be considered a violation or angelic intervention…

  I admit this scenario is literally far out, especially if you have not seen the experts’ testimony and evidence, but consider for a moment what the implications are if, in fact, the US is unilaterally arming the planet against ETs. Would you choose George Bush Jr. as your planetary diplomat? With his example of human integrity, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Galaxy decides to deploy a fleet of mall-traps and quarantine the solar system for a few centuries!

   Would a secret elite brotherhood cause mass panic and confusion to keep such a profound “security” issue secret? What ends of the Earth would they be willing to go to, to keep humanity from learning the truth about outer space and aliens? Disinformation in the movies? Terrorism in the cities? A few strains of deadly bacteria, forest fires, economic collapse, etc.? Yes, I admit I AM a conspiracy nut… but SOMEONE’S got to ask these questions.

  Another facet of the Disclosure Project is revelations of free-energy technology. This group of scientists, researchers and doctors claim that the technology exists to replace all of the obsolete, polluting energy technology currently being forced on humanity. Every square inch of the atmosphere contains an unlimited amount of free atomic energy, if one can tap into it… and apparently these devices have existed since the days of Tesla! Again, consider for a moment what oil barons might DO to keep free-energy from going global…and to keep us all addicted to their gas nozzles.

A War on Flowers is a War on the Mind
The model for Bush’s “War on Terror,” which has come to dominate the economy and culture of America, is the failed “War on Drugs” instituted by his elders. We should ask: what are the fundamental principles behind the “War on Drugs”? What are “drugs”? What are the “wrong” drugs, and why? These questions are directly related to: "What is terror, and what is a terrorist?" An enemy of the State?

   Pharmaceuticals are the most profitable industry in the United States, pushing billions of doses of chemicals per week. American schools today routinely dispense psychiatric drugs to their students, to keep them “under control.” The States are making a killing in taxes off of alcohol and tobacco, both of which are known carcinogens and highly addictive. So what is the “War on Drugs” really all about?

  Take as an example the humble but potent cannabis plant. Archeologists and anthropologists tell us that human beings have used the cannabis plant since the dawn of time. In fact, it can be argued that cannabis helped to build civilization, with fiber, fuel, and nutritional seeds. Then there are the religious and medicinal uses of the flowers, which in America have become equated with a crime against the State, for which your house may be seized, and you may land in prison for a few years.

  What is the REAL threat of citizens using marijuana, or mushrooms, or any other “consciousness expanding” plant? Make no mistake that this a cultural war, and not a “War on Drugs” at all… the war on flowers. To keep the workers’ minds “under control,” to keep consumers buying synthetic chemicals, to keep the long-hairs and rock-and-rollers outlawed, so the DEA can come in and take their children away…

  I don’t know about you, but using the failed “War on Drugs” model to institute a “War on Terror,” now turning its scopes toward environmentalists, human rights activists, and college professors, doesn’t in any way relate to the concept of “security” for me. Bush’s “Homeland Security” plot sounds more like a prison camp surrounded by barbed wire. Where everyone will be given their daily dose of psychiatric stress-relievers, and growing anything at all will require a permit.

  Think about it for a moment: we live in a world where citizens have been convinced that growing flowers is a crime. For which the State will seize your land, your children, and your inheritance. Lock you in a cage with murderers and rapists. A flower that has been used by humanity for thousands of years, religiously and medicinally. Yet you can walk into a supermarket and buy a gallon of alcohol, guzzle it in the parking lot, and kill yourself.

  The educated agrarians who created the United States 200 years ago grew cannabis, and many smoked it. It was an important cultural resource, which made ship’s sails, artists’ canvases, and the paper on which the Constitution was written. Not even in their worst nightmares could they have anticipated that, within a few generations, cannabis growers would be equated with criminals, in the cynically lauded “Land of the Free.” They would burn with shame to be associated with such an institution of fascism, and such a nation of sheep.

I Have a Dream: The Next Generation
From a child’s perspective, the most tragic and depressing aspect of the 20th century’s legacy is the fact that humanity HAD the means to create a paradise on Earth, even for 6 billion people. All of the global conflict, raping of the environment, mass murder and exploitation all seems so… petty. Unnecessary. Obsolete. Stupid. It’s the starvation that really tears the heart.

  Maybe George Bush, Jr’s gift to us all is pointing out just how ridiculous and outmoded his avenue of powermongering is. It seems in the new millennium a retarded form of humanity, his nuclear weapons a nightmare from which we can’t seem to awake. The real horror, however, is the justification for these tyrannical terrorists, coming from people who should know better, parents of young children, clergymen, teachers. How can any sane person approve of the launching of missiles against entire countries? Dropping atomic bombs on entire cities?

  The comical propaganda coming from the Bush camp lately regarding the threat of Saddam Hussein seems like rubbing salt in the wounds of the last century. My first reaction, as it has been throughout the entire Bush reign, is: just how stupid do you think we are? Apparently, according to corporate “approval ratings,” more stupid than our founding fathers could ever have imagined. Too bad they weren’t more specific about nuclear weapons and global spy agencies when they wrote the Constitution.

  Can the educated and thoughtful people of the world overcome the obfuscating and diversionary tactics being deployed by the White House and CIA, before “Total Space Dominance” neutralizes any opposition, or we’re all “secured” in suspect camps, whichever comes first? Will anyone ask the difficult questions, or does it all really just end with a whimper? Will America finally lay down their guns for a moment and listen to their veterans?

  Look into the eyes of a child this week and let me know what answers you come up with. And while you’re at it, ask her what she thinks about her future…
