Subject: land titles

Hi,
A few years ago I saw a website that had information on something called alluvial
deed or title. Basically the site said that if you own your land and it is paid off
you can go to the county clerk and pay off a lean put on it by the government to put
toward the national debt. If you paid that off (the thing is basically kept a
secret) then you don't have to pay taxes on your land. I can't find the website or
the accurate name of the deed or title. Do you have any info on this?
Thanks for
your website.
Jessie

Hi Jessie,
I don't know where to find that, but I would like to know more if you can locate it.
Nothing bothers me more than the ability of local government to take away your property because of back taxes. I could understand a lien or other forms of debt liability, but taking away property that you own outright, because of taxes, is wrong, dead wrong.
