KCAL, Channel 9 TV News (Los Angeles), reported last night that the
Pomona Police Department in Riverside County, California have arrested
the hispanic parents of a missing six year old girl after the parents reported
the child missing. At the time of her arrest, the mother was nine months
pregnant and delivered her newborn baby while incarcerated by the police.
Another young boy belonging to the parents has been placed under the care
of Child Protective Services. The parents are being held on $200,000
bail.
The charge? ...A messy house, an environment unfit for the habitation
and welfare of minor children say Pomona Police. Neighbors have expressed
dumbfounded outrage at the Pomona Police for arresting the parents who
were described as being poor, but caring parents. So far, Pomona Police
have not sought information from neighbors about the child or had they
posted a missing person flyer on the missing six year old.
