I think it was about 1984 when I first heard Benjamin Creme espousing the coming of Maitreya to save the world on a talk radio program. Is the huckster still playing the same shtick? Benjamin Creme sounded like a barker at a circus sideshow stating that the World Teacher was living in East London.

Another showman, Charles Leadbeater, a former Anglican priest, claimed Krishnamurti was the World Teacher 90 years ago. Krishnamurti ran away from that trap. Leadbeater had arrest warrants against him for child molestation in England and America.

The term World Teacher is so loaded with messianic reverberations that it is a poisonous label no one would want to wear. There are thousands of churches in the world, each with their own slant on the title.

Creme looks like the actor who played the Wizard of Oz in the original movie. Would he be pulling the levers behind the curtains if he locates the elusive man? Would he want to be the publicist for Maitreya?

There is supposed to be a huge statue under construction in India dedicated to Maitreya. I saw an article of the site and plan of construction five years ago, but nothing since. Do they know what he looks like already? Maybe they will put Prince Harry's face on it? Maybe Michael Jackson's face would be better? If there is a construction problem, Michael could alter his face to match the statue.

Creme has always been unclear on Maitreya's message, but one worldwide unifying belief system has always been in Creme's presentation. Such an
agreement of beliefs is not possible, there is too much diversity in the world. It would be better to simply leave people the freedom to believe what they feel is true. Live and let live.

What makes me uncomfortable most about this website (and what it represents) is that it's going to be imposed politically; does not sound
like a genuine spiritual movement.

And I suppose this Benjamin Creme guy thinks he's John the Baptist. The plan of the so-called New World Order is to declare all the older religions obsolete: they are to be replaced with this one.

The "antichrist"? Or a tool of the global elite? Or ??

What do you think of it?
