A few years ago I wrote about dairy products and its 59 hormones and steroidscausing a six inch increase in average height of men and women over the past hundred
years. The posting was called "Stature". If dairy were withdrawn from the market the
next generation would be shorter. I was uncertain as to the cause of the obesity
epidemic and guessed synthetic [recombinant] bovine growth hormone (rBGH) given to dairy cows may
have contributed to the increased girth. Research shows injected rBGH does not reach
fluid milk. Doing my nightly research on many different topics I have awoke with "fructose" as the cause of the obesity epidemic a number of times. This morning I
awoke seeing a pentagram overlaying the chemical structure of this simple sugar. At
6:00 AM, looking up the chemistry of fructose, I saw that one its isomers indeed had a
five atom ring.
Fructose a near cousin of glucose is not accepted by the cells in the body. Glucose
also called dextrose or blood sugar is universally accepted by every cell in the
body. Fructose is processed by the liver placing additional work on this vital
organ. Check:
Most of the sugar used in carbonated drinks is high fructose corn syrup: 55%
fructose and 45% glucose. This blend of sugar is created from corn starch using
three enzymes. Nearly half of USA corn is now used to make HFCS.
The changeover to High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) started with the Sugar Cartel in 1982 fixing the price of
cane sugar. Archer-Daniels Midland (ADM) saw an opportunity to market HFCS. The New
Coke introduction of April 23 1985 was the starting date of the changeover from cane
sugar to HFCS. The New Coke was a marketing disaster and Cola Cola Classic returned
77 days later but it was not the old Coke as cane sugar had been replaced by HFCS
too.
In marketing surveys sweetness sells products. Glucose is not as sweet as cane
sugar. Fructose is sweeter than cane sugar. 55% fructose in corn syrup is slightly
sweeter than cane sugar. The fructose in carbonated drinks is a Genetically Modified
Organism (GMO) product as both the corn and the enzymes have been changed. In the
aetheric I saw the "five atom ring isomer of fructose" as a cosmetic sweetener
detrimental to health and contributing greatly to the obesity problem. The time line
of the introduction of HFCS into product lines in America corresponds to the weight
increase. The obesity problem is spreading as HFCS replaces cane sugar in other
markets worldwide.
