I wish everyone knew of the benefits derived from the application of ordinary polar magnets to the body, to food, and for water used to support life. There are really three forms of magnetized water that you can make. Each form has its own unique applications. North pole water has a calming and healing effect and will help to overcome infection since it retards the growth of cells. South pole water does the opposite: it’s stimulating and encourages the growth of human cells, plant cells, and even pathogenic cells, such as bacteria. Mixed pole water (both poles) is used for general health improvement. Polarity We need to use the type of magnets that have a separate pole on each side of the magnet. They’re called polar magnets. The flexible type used to stick up things on the refrigerator have very thin strips of both north and south pole material laying next to each other side on the same side. Don’t use that type. The North pole of a polar magnet is indicated by a minus (-) sign and the South pole is indicated by a plus (+) sign. It has nothing to do with ideas of negative or positive effects. The standard coloring scheme is to mark the magnet’s North pole with blue paint or a blue minus sign and the South pole with a red color or a red plus sign. You can purchase ceramic magnets that are shaped like dominos for about $1 each from Radio Shack and other hobby stores. You have to mark the polarity of your magnets before you can use them. I usually mark the South pole only with a plus sign using red finger nail polish painted directly onto the magnet. You can identify the polarity using a simple compass or a known magnet marked with the correct polarity. The needle of a compass will point towards the North pole of your magnet and be deflected away by the South pole. Magnet Pads I drink mixed pole water most of the time. In order to make it, I’ll assemble a mixed polarity magnet pad by taking the individual domino magnets and place them side by side on a flat, non-metallic surface such as a Formica counter top. They will stick together very nicely. You can use 12, 16, or 20 domino magnets to make a good size pad. Place a large glass bottle, jar, or pitcher filled with your water on top of the magnet pad. To fully magnetize the water, leave the bottle of water on the pad for at least 12 hours before drinking it. I leave a quart size glass jar on the magnet pad all the time and just keep refilling it after I take some water. Keep the magnet pad centered on a non-metallic surface and keep metal objects that react to magnetism at least 12 inches away. Do no use a metal pitcher for your water. Plastic is OK, but glass or glazed ceramic pitchers are much better. North Pole Water To make North pole water, you can place your glass bottle on a single large ceramic magnet with the North pole (-) facing up towards the glass. The larger magnets can be obtained from magnet suppliers on the internet. It should be large enough to cover the entire base of the bottle (4x6 inch and 6x6 inch single magnet pads are available). A simpler and cheaper alternative is to use the Radio Shack domino magnets and place them side by side inside a plastic or wooden square tray with rails along the perimeter of the tray to hold the magnets in place (you can glue quarter inch rails to the perimeter of a 3/8 inch or ¼ inch square piece of plywood to make a tray). The North pole should be facing up with all the domino magnets. In this position, they will want to repel each other when moved close together. It’s not absolutely necessary for the sides of the magnets to touch each other with this single pole magnet pad. They can be separated by a quarter or half-inch and still work OK. The magnetic fields are still over lapping each other and that’s what counts. If you want everything to stay put permanently, use epoxy glue (hardware store) and glue the magnets to the tray. North pole water is used for healing and calming. Rub it on any stubborn skin condition or skin lesion many times a day and see what happens after a week or two (people or animals). Drink it when agitated or nervous. Apply to irritated or sun burned skin and notice the sensation of relief (colloidal silver works nicely here too). Pour it into your pet’s drinking water if you have a nervous animal. There are many possibilities; use your imagination. South Pole Water Make the South pole magnet pad in the same way as the North pole pad suggested above, but in this case, have all the South poles (+) facing up. South pole water is stimulating and encourages growth in animal or plant cells. Use it on those areas where you want to see more vigorous growth like in your garden/house plants or on the top of a balding head (never thought of that one, I bet). Don’t apply it to an infected area because you’ll encourage the growth of the pathogens. Farmers can clamp or tape large South pole facing magnets to their plastic irrigation lines and get a much larger crop yield. Mixed Pole Water You can also clamp large magnets around the copper or plastic pipes that carry water into your house and get soft water without the cost of a water softener. Magnetized water keeps the minerals in solution and prevents spots from showing up on your drinking glasses after you take them out of the dishwasher. Besides drinking mixed pole water, you can bathe in it and even use it to make stronger concrete or plaster. Use your imagination. Magnetic Mugs They sell magnetic mugs in some health food stores and on the web, but you can make your own and save a bunch of money. Take an ordinary ceramic or glass coffee mug and surround the center of the mug with about twelve domino magnets of opposite polarity (the sides of the magnets will stick to each other). Use a heavy rubber band to hold them in place for temporary use. Twelve or so magnets will make the mug heavy for holding, though. To make a lighter and more permanent magnetic mug, you can epoxy glue 4 or 6 magnets to the sides of the mug (evenly spaced and orientated vertically). Use the opposite polarity for each magnet if you want mixed pole water (the most common arrangement). Magnetic Necklace or BraceletA magnetic necklace or bracelet uses lightweight, mixed polarity magnets. You can buy them off the internet or from certain health food stores. The commercial magnetic necklaces often use an iron-based mineral called Hematite for the necklace beads, but you can also make your own using small magnets that have a small hole drilled through the center to pass a cord or string. You should separate each magnet with plastic spaghetti beads found in any hobby craft store. Remember to alternate the polarity of each magnet as you assemble them on your necklace string. Wearing a magnetic necklace can bring dramatic health improvements in many areas. Many people with arthritis, for example, will often obtain substantial (and sometimes complete) relief after wearing a magnetic necklace for a few months. Magnetic therapy works for about 80% of the people who try it. The magnetic fields from the necklace affect the blood passing through the big arteries running up the neck. The membranes of red blood cells will gradually take on a greater negative charge and force greater separation between them. Red blood cells that stay separated expose more surface area and permit more oxygen to pass from the hemoglobin inside the RBC into the tissue where it’s needed. Weak red blood cells have a low membrane charge and will tend to stick together like a stack of coins and greatly reduce the surface area for oxygen transport. Magnetic therapy also improves the amount of oxygen that is taken up by the body’s cells. Pregnant women and people who wear pacemakers need to learn about the precautions necessary to observe before engaging in any type of magnetic therapy. You can wear the necklace most of the time, but your body will tell you when you’ve had enough magnetism. Take the necklace off for a day or so whenever you feel over charged. Always listen to your body. You can use magnets for other healing chores as well. There are lots of books available on magnetic therapy. Try it and see for yourself.
