Bishop Fred Henry of Calgary called the new guidelines,
Totalitarianism in Alberta
Imagine a government telling students, parents, teachers and administrators that they cannot use the words "mother" and "father" any more when communicating. Imagine a government forcing parents to no longer refer to their children as "boy" or "girl" or "him" and "here." Imagine a government dictating to parents that "Self-identification is the sole measure of an individual’s sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression...." But there's no need to imagine since this is exactly what the Alberta government has done. It's all part of a plan to tell parents how to think about the human person, human sexuality and family. Parental rights don't matter at all. Religious freedom isn't important. The government language police knows better. I wish we were kidding about all of this. Sadly we are not. Readers can find all this misguided information in the "Guidelines for Best Practices" issued just weeks go by Alberta's New Democratic Party (NDP) government.
You can forget, "Adam has two mommies." The Alberta government says instead, "Eve has two non-gendered and inclusive caregivers." Students and staff may not feel comfortable with the pronouns “he” or “she” and so they are free to substitute them with “ze,” “zir,” “hir,” “they” or “them,” or some other expression of choice that best identifies them. And you must stop using the words and titles such as Mr., Ms., Mrs., mother, father, him, her, and in their place use these words "parents/guardians, caregivers, families, partners, “student” or “their” and who knows what they will make up next to try to confuse, abuse and control children and the rest of us. The 16 page document issues by the NDP government is called, "Guidelines for Best Practices," but it would more accurate to use words like worst or abusive or bully in place of the word "best."
Why is the government doing this? The guidelines say it's to create "learning communities" that "respect diverse sexual orientations, gender identity, and gender expressions." The idea is to create inclusive school environments. And so children get to choose their "gender" and the entire school community must respect this including the parents who have no right to be told. The document states, "Self-identification is the sole measure of an individual’s sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. ..." So teachers and school administrators must keep in mind, "When creating student/staff lists, school staff ensure gender designations are not included either beside individual names or as a composite number for the group." The document's language not only abuses children but parents too by stating that they need not be informed about any of this "gender-bending" thinking where the "transhuman" rules. This is a violation of human and parental rights.
But there's more. When using a washroom or joining a team students can make that decision based on their chosen self-identity:
If sports teams are divided by gender, students are given the opportunity to participate on the team that reflects their gender identity and expression… Students with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions have a right to accommodation when it comes to the use of washroom and change room facilities that are congruent with their gender identity. This applies during school time and school-related activities on and off school property. This means that if a boy or a girl (and an adult man or woman) wants to use a washroom of the opposite sex, there are free to do so. The same rule applies to teachers and other adult staff as well:
A student who objects to sharing a washroom or change-room with a student who is trans or gender-diverse is offered an alternative facility.
What is taking place in Alberta's educational system is happening in every province across Canada. This politically correct language is being used to disrespect and morally corrupt children. Once language is no longer used to communicate accurate information but to indoctrinate there a huge risk that parents will lose their children to the state. Through this language corruption parents will no longer be able to exercise their right to direct their children's education. The state is essentially dictating to parents and children who they are, what to think and do. Parents must push back.
Alberta parents should get a copy of this misguided and dangerous document (or at least read it) and ask the minister of education and the premier of Alberta to withdraw the document or resign. The document has nothing to do with education. It's a contaminated verbal recipe to make everyone morally, intellectually, spiritually and physically sick. Catholic schools and parents should follow the advice of Bishop Fred Henry found in his Pastoral Letter where he calls the document "Totalitarianism in Alberta" [posted below].
Canadain parents must stronly object to this document and counter this evil sexual propaganda before it enters and corrupts the minds of innocent children.
Parents have this right in Articles 18 and 26 of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In Canada, we also have denominational rights and Catholic doctrine. But parental rights have to be defended and protected in order not to lose them. If documents like "Guidelines to Best Practices" are implemented and become part of every day thinking and living, we will have lost not just parental rights but the right to live our faith free form the dangers of the sexual cult of "inclusivity and diversity" coming from today's politically correct secular governments.
