I replied today (June 20) to an email I had received on June 16 from a dentist named Dr. T.K. Stone. I plan to post the inspiring informaton that he had brought to my attention in another article, but in my reply to him today, I explained to him the story of how this young avocado plant came to be. So I decided to just paste in a portion of my reply to him that includes the story of how this plant came to grow to the size you see here.

There's a lesson to be learned here and I hope everyone reading this, will come to realize more deeply how we can employ the power of thought, prayer, and focused intent on a daily basis to shape the reality of our lives in the direction we wish it to go.

Thanks for this great letter. Wow, you tell the best stories. Sorry I didn't reply earlier, but I just read your response today, June 20. I've been spending all of my time looking at the Orlando shooting and working on an article which I still haven't finished, but I posted it this morning anyway, and will try to finish it today, or at least add more to it.

Anyway, I plan to post your letter, the comp chapters from the book, and the audio interviews you have done so far. I would like more people to hear what you have to say. The incredible things that happened to you at such a young age and how prayer, so early in life, brought about such a miraculous cure of your left foot. Wow. Yes, it would have been amazing if you had kept that black ball.

I just experienced something surprising that my wife and I have been talking about for the past few days. I tried to start an avocado plant from an avocado pit about 15 months ago. I had it in water in front of the kitchen window for about 2.5 months before it finally sprouted a small stem which produced one leaf. I assumed it was going to keep on growing and get bigger and bigger, but it just had that one leaf for 1.5 months it seems and then the leaf began to dry and wither. I was not paying sufficient attention to it, but when I realized it was dying I tried switching to peat soil and at least kept it moist hoping it would recover. I finally cut off the one leaf because it was more dead than living and thought it would hasten the plant's demise. For the next 8 or 9 months that stem remained green but would not produce any leaves. I kept the peat moist because I was curious if the plant would ever recover and grow leaves again.

Then about 2 weeks ago, it occurred to me to try to put life force energy into that plant. I cupped my hands around the stem and spoke to it in my mind as if it were a person. I imagined a white light entering the back of my head and going through my arms, into my hands and into the plant. I told the plant it was going to start growing. I told the plant I cared about it and wanted it to grow into a full size plant. The next morning, a small stub about 1/8 inch long had appeared at the base of the plant. I showed my wife and told the plant to keep on going. The next morning, the nub had now grown to over 3/4 inches long. Now, I knew we were cooking with gas! I continued to encourage the plant and it grew at least an additional inch each day. After 7 days, it had grown to maybe 7 inches tall and produced 4 or 5 leaves. I've attached the photo taken on the 8ith day.

I had been posting articles and commentary about the power of thought, intentions, and prayer for a number of years and it had never occurred to me to take my own advice to help that plant recover. It was a lesson, of course, but I'm glad to have experienced it at this time on the heels of your emails. It all seems to fit and work out, doesn't it?

The original stem is seen below in this cropped enlargement. I had to increase the brightness so you could see the stem more clearly against the black pot background. In doing so, I changed the color of the lower portion of the stem from green to brown. Since the new shoot began to grow, the upper half of the stem quickly began to blacken and die, after it had remained green for nearly 3/4 of an entire year during its dormant period.
