When a 'Miracle' (MMS) Meets the FDA ~ Big Pharma's Assault on Daniel Smith & America's Right to Health Self Determination
[Editor's Note: The comments posted at the end of this article present powerful arguments and a damning indictment of the FDA's utter corruption and its role as protector of Big Pharma's Sicknes and Disease 'management' industry. Be sure to read all 22 comments.]

Daniel Smith’s Spokane business was raided last June
by the FDA, but he has yet to be charged with any crime.
The “miracle” starts with three drops. Drip, drip drip. Three drops of sodium chlorite into a glass. Then three drops of citric acid.
Matthew Darjany sniffs the little puddle and swears it smells like fish or chlorine. He reaches for another glass, this one filled with water. The chemicals go into the water.
“Then you just drink it. There’s no particulate in there,” he says. The water glass goes to Darjany’s lips. He chugs it.
These little drops used to be Darjany’s livelihood, shipped in bottles from his downtown Spokane warehouse. The product was called Miracle Mineral Solution, and Darjany and his business partner, Daniel Smith, shipped thousands around the world.
Until the Food and Drug Administration shut it down last year, alleging that Smith violated federal laws and engaged in smuggling.
Now Darjany’s business is gone, and Smith is under federal investigation.
“Done,” Darjanny says, slamming the empty glass down. “That’s the big scandal. You, my friend, have witnessed a crime.”
There are two parts to Miracle Mineral Solution, or MMS: citric acid and sodium chlorite. Combine them and they become chlorine dioxide.
To doctors, chlorine dioxide is a bleaching agent with no medical use. According to Washington State University’s Drug Information Center, chlorine dioxide and sodium chlorite can both cause burns and irritation to the esophageal tract if ingested.
“It’s scary that you would drink or ingest or inject bleach into your body,” says Thomas Martin, a doctor with Washington Poison Control, which has received three reports of people having adverse reactions to MMS.
But to Smith, MMS is an alternative medicine that’s safe to use and effective against everything from earaches to malaria.
“We used it in the family,” Smith, a 42-year-old father of three, says. “It had some great benefits. Strep throats, ear infections, things like that were going away.”
When the tech business he was involved in went under in 2007, Smith started importing sodium chlorite from Canada and selling the product full-time, under the name PGL International.
It was about then that Smith started breaking federal law, the FDA alleges.
By last year, the FDA had recorded four complaints about the drug, including two reports of life-threatening conditions, according to an affidavit submitted by FDA Special Agent DaLi Borden.
By importing sodium chlorite from Canada and then shipping it along with citric acid, Borden says, Smith violated the federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and was engaged insmuggling.
Both Smith and Darjany say they have taken MMS as medicine, though they never sold it as such. Darjany adds that he’s also used it to deodorize smelly laundry. People could do with it what they wanted, Smith says.
“A lot of people made claims,” he says. “We didn’t make claims.”
An FDA spokeswoman declined to comment about the case, saying it was still under investigation.
The agency came knocking in August of 2010, telling Smith that what he was doing was illegal, court records show. So Smith says he ordered a recall of MMS, then told the feds that he was going to reincorporate as a private membership club, which he believed allowed him to sell MMS legally.
Once he did that, he says, he sent a letter to the FDA asking if Project GreenLife, as the company was now called, was legal. He says he received no response.
That may have been because the FDA was busy building a case against Smith.
In California, agents were secretly placing orders of MMS and having them shipped to post office boxes, according to court records.
Those were just a few of the packages that went out every day, Darjany says. He estimates that they shipped hundreds of packages a day both within the U.S. and internationally.
By January 2011, all that business was being monitored by Borden of the FDA and France Brega, an inspector from the Postal Inspection Service, records indicate.
Using a GPS tracker placed on Smith’s longtime girlfriend’s car, agents were able to track packages of MMS from a downtown Spokane warehouse to a South Hill post office, where they were mailed by the dozens.
Meanwhile, Brega went through the trash from Smith’s house, looking for bank statements and other documents linking him to Project GreenLife, records state. Another FDA agent also analyzed Project GreenLife’s website and determined that Smith was running it.
Smith says he was unaware he was being watched. He only learned that the feds were on to him in June 2011, when Borden, Brega and a host of federal agents turned up at his house and at Darjany’s warehouse to serve the search warrant.
“Obviously, it’s a very, very freaky moment when a government agency raids your home,” says Smith, who was out of town when the raid occurred. “But they took everything, so what can you do? My business was done. And I’ve just spent my time pondering how we’re going to work our way through this.”
The raid netted over $22,000 and about five million Iraqi dinar, which Smith says he had as an investment (and is worth about $4,200 today). It also turned up boxes of sodium chlorite and citric acid, according to an inventory report.
But nearly a year after Project GreenLife was shut down, Smith has yet to be indicted.
Darjany remembers his time testifying before a grand jury as “genuinely conversational.”
“There were a lot of jurors,” Darjany says. “It was relatively informal, compared to a courtroom.”
That was in September. Smith had received a target letter from Christopher Eric Parisi, a Justice Department attorney, who had also asked Darjany to testify before the grand jury, according to a summons Darjany received.
The grand jury met again this month, according to a letter Parisi sent to Smith. Yet Smith says he has not seen an indictment.
“They’ve had two shots at a grand jury and as far as I know the grand jury has not produced an indictment,” Darjany says.
Through a Justice Department spokesman, Parisi declined to comment.
Smith has seized upon the delay to petition U.S. District Court Judge Edward F. Shea to award him his property back. Smith also filed a suit against Brega and Borden last month for alleged infringement on his constitutional rights.
Annie Walsh, a former attorney for the FDA who now works in private practice in Washington, D.C., says getting seized money back is a tall order.
“There’s not a statutory requirement, as far as I know,” Walsh says. “They can hold it as long as there’s probable cause for them to believe there’s a crime.” And grand juries can take years to issue an indictment.
Meanwhile, Smith’s supporters, rallied by a website he set up called I Am Not an Animal (a reference to language in the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act), have deluged the court with hundreds of declarations affirming their belief in the safety and efficacy of MMS. (Despite the raid on Project GreenLife, MMS is still available online from retailers such as eBay or Amazon.com.)
“He became pretty big, I think, which is why the FDA targeted him,” says Adam Abraham, an MMS advocate from Arizona who has followed Smith’s case.
In March, records show, Parisi offered Smith a plea deal, which would have him plead guilty to counts of introducing a misbranded drug into interstate commerce and conspiracy to violate the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
“They’d like to get a plea bargain out of me, but it ain’t going to happen,” Smith says. “Why would I offer to be a felon to people who can’t prove their case?”
Jobless and living off donations from supporters, Smith spends his days filing court briefs in his own defense. He says he is innocent.
“If I went to prison, I would go with a clean conscience, knowing that other people’s lives were saved,” Smith says. “That’s got to be worth something.”

2) You as a newspaper, need to do a little more homework before choosing sides on an issue like MMS. Calling MMS snake oil is simply showing your stupidity and lack of due diligence. This really isn’t about MMS and Daniel Smith, it is about the FDA having the power to stop and shutdown anything beneficial to mankind in the interest of big pharma’s pocketbook. Why is the FDA shutting down farmers markets when the people are selling healthy food? Why is the FDA shutting down raw milk farmers when raw milk is the only milk that is good for you. Pasteurization destroys anything good in milk making it a toxic product. Homogenization breaks the fat molecules down so small they now pass through the arterial walls and plaque up the arterial network. Why is the FDA making farmers destroy their range fed pigs; so they won’t compete with the caged steroid fed cancer producing commercial pigs? It’s the FDA who is out of control and needs to be stopped, not independent MMS distributors. The truth is, sodium chlorite is not only used in every major municipal water system to remove bacteria and viruses and pathogens from the water they clean up for you to drink, but the big reason FDA is trying to get rid of it is because it has now gotten into big pharma’s pocketbook so bigtime, that it has to go if big pharma is to continue making their outlandish profits.
MMS started out as simply being a cure, yes a cure, for malaria. It will knock out malaria in as little as four hours with a 30 drop dose. The problem is, people have been experimenting with it on many other diseases now and have discovered it is very effective on those also. Those include big money diseases. The clincher of the FDA’a atrocities has to be it’s attempt at the removal of MMS, sodium chlorite, from the marketplace because it´s use cures so many diseases such as malaria, hepatitis, aids, cancer, diabetes and a whole host of others. See http://www.mmsanswers.org/ for a list of these. It´s use is just getting too deep into the pocketbooks of big pharma as more and more people are discovering how cheap it is and how well it cures disease.
For pete´s sake, MMS is used in virtually every municipal water treatment plant in the US for removing bacteria and pathogens from your water supply. How can the FDA tell us not to use it in our own home and declare it a drug? This is all about the money, not about MMS being dangerous. MMS, Mineral Miracle Supplement, is not a mineral at all. It is sodium chlorite that when mixed with citric acid forms chlorine dioxide which is an extremely effective oxidizer against malaria virus (100% kill, most in 4 hours); it kills AIDs virus, hepatitis virus, the H1N1 flu virus, pneumonia, colds, is now being used against cancer,
and much more. It cured my hepatitis in 30 days. They would not accept my blood donation because I had a trace of hepatitis. I did 30 days of MMS treatment, went back and it was gone and they accepted my blood. Chlorine dioxide kills all pathogens. It will knock out a cold in less than two days, sometimes one. A pathogen is described as "any biological agent that causes disease or illness to its host". Types of pathogens include Bacteria, Viruses, Protozoa, Fungi, Parasites and Proteins. It is why it is used in your municipal water supply plant to clean up the water you drink. How can they declare something used to clean up your water a drug? The government even tells us what it will do. If you go to the Gov document at http://epa.gov/safewater/mdbp/pdf/alter/chapt_4.pdf
it says in 4.4.3.4, " Chlorine dioxide is regarded as a strong disinfectant that is effective at inactivating bacterial, viral, and protozoan pathogens.".... like Giardia found in contaminated mountain streams and lakes."
And the FDA wants us to throw it away? MMS needs to get the Nobel Peace Prize, not be thrown away. It is the medical breakthrough of the century. MMS is only sodium chlorite. Sodium chlorite is used for the generation of chlorine dioxide for bleaching and stripping of textiles, pulp, and paper. Sodium Chlorite is also used for disinfection of municipal water treatment plants after conversion to chlorine dioxide. Besides water purification sodium chlorite finds application as a component in therapeutic rinses, mouthwashes, toothpastes and gels, mouth sprays, chewing gums and lozenges, and also in contact lens cleaning solution. It is used for sanitizing air ducts and HVAC systems and animal containment areas (walls, floors, and other surfaces). Does this sound like we need to throw it away?
MMS, sodium chlorite, doesn´t become chlorine dioxide, which is the pathogen killer that does the miracles, until you mix it with citric acid. But he could not include any information on what it does or how to use it (sound familiar ? Looked at your vitamin bottles lately for any useful information on them? It doesn´t exist. You gotta get what they do for you somewhere else.) As soon as he included how to use it information with his orders, he became a criminal, a drug dealer, and they are attempting to to prosecute him for being a saviour to the people.
What is the matter with this country?
Our Government for the people has become a Government AGAINST the people. No wonder O is trying to get rid of our guns. How much longer will we tolerate asinine policies and behavior like this that are absolutely against the good of the people before we fully revolt?
Let’s just take the cancer thing. Going to the chemo/radiation boys you have a 3% chance of living. Not good odds. If you get on MMS and other alternative regimes, you stand a 97% chance of survival. If you go to the chemo boys first and then discover they are going to kill you and then switch to alternative methods you only stand a 50-50 chance of survival, but that’s better than 3%.
MMS was introduced to me by an older man I played volleyball with who cured not only himself of cancer but had 26 other friends in remission on it also. I’ve only cured one person of cancer. She was introduced to MMS, but didn’t like the taste and who am I to listen to? After a short time of chemo and radiation therapy, all her hair fell out and she was sent home to die because they couldn’t give her any more treatments because her white cell count was so low. She looked like death, could barely stand up on her own. She and her husband were desperate for any kind of a solution. I paid the bill because they couldn’t; and they put her on 30 drops of MMS a day besides B17, laetrile if you wish. Three to four months later she received a cancer free bill of health from the hospital and had a full head of hair again and was making pies for resale. Today she is still cancer free and healthy. Don’t tell me MMS is snake oil. It could cure a lot more cancers if simply more people knew about it and would use it. You need to get on Daniel’s band wagon and support him and help defeat the FDA criminals. Do some exploring at http://jimhumble.biz Learn about the history of the use of MMS and read some of the testimonies from people who have been cured of many things using it.

3) I have a fact: What do you call conventional medicine [prescribed pharmaceutical drugs] causing 783,936 deaths per year in the USA alone?
4) I have a joke, What do you call alternative medicine that works? Medicine. HAHA
Anecdotes and testimonials are not science and should not be used to evaluate the efficacy of a treatment.

6) It is time to stand together and be counted for all of our freedoms. The USA was founded on that principle by the People for the People. That is you and me my friends.
By doing the Right Thing!
The federal government is out of control with all of their control agencies, all of which are designed to Make Money for the government. Why is it that? When did they become in business for Profit? The IRS and the FDA need to go away. The people know how to live and take care of themselves without the government telling us what and how to live and what we can eat and not eat. Every day there is a new Chemical/poison being put in our foods and water supplies by the Big Brother who knows what´s best for us. LOL
This is not a laughing matter. If we lose this fight what´s next? We have been on that slippery slope for a long time and the last 4 years the country is in a mud slid. It needs to be stopped.
Daniel my friend we are doing what we can to support you and get the word out about you, MMS and the others who stand to lose all for doing the right thing.
MMS is our right to have health and we demand our rights!

7) I have firsthand experience with the use of MMS and cured a bacterial infection under my arm 1,5 years ago. At first I went to a doctor who advised me to take antibiotics which I did. It seemed to help, but after a month it returned. I decided to give MMS a try. After 5 days the infection shrunk and became less red, and within two weeks the infection was gone and never returned!
In my opinion the FDA has no right to crunch Daniel Smith because of his involvement with MMS. People like Daniel Smith and Jim Humble should be honored instead for their honest efforts to curing many diseases and telling the truth!
This case is not a matter of Daniel Smith alone. It matters to all of us, including Daniel, you, and me. A good health belongs to everyone.

8) The glitchy Forms-processor here just ate my 2nd Comment (sob), so I´ll just say now:
It´s critical for Inlander Readers, and Chris Stein, and indeed MMS supporters to recognize that the FDA routinely abuses its mandate (and the constitution itself) NOT because MMS is a very inexpensive (and effective) remedy, and the like. The FDA is ENTIRELY in the pockets of Big Pharma - a former director even said he would never grant a license to someone not in that group. And the reason for that is: Big Pharma (and more generally the established medical system) depends on the CONTINUANCE of illness and disease. Obscene amounts of money are made in prolonging illness, not curing it. This is not to say that doctors are ill-intentioned and evil. On the contrary, I believe nearly all have compassion for their work and their patients. I refer to the SYSTEM: the organizations from the FDA to Medical Associations and on down, and certainly including the CEO´s of charitable foundations that purport to cure cancer etc. - where would that $200,000 salary go if they actually accomplished their goal?
To say nothing of Big Pharma. BILLIONS of dollars gone when people actually start using effective cures and regimes for cancer, instead of burning and poisoning in the name of slower death.
Kudos to Daniel Smith, and the producers of MMS; SHAME to those who sell their souls at the FDA.

10) (an earlier email)
Hi Chris,
I´ve been working on supporting Daniel Smith and his battle on behalf of MMS and against the FDA. I´ve learned that the Northwest Inlander is covering the story, and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing so.
I personally use MMS to great success, and owe the makers and distributors a great debt of thanks. Among other things my daughter suffers from a very profound chronic infection that complicates her asthma and triggers very intense tonsillitis (very painful, very hard to breathe). A few summers ago in such a crisis she spent nearly three weeks going to the hospital twice a day to get antibiotics via I-V. At the end of that period she was far from cured; the problem was merely beaten down sufficiently to discontinue that excessive antibiotic regimen.
She moved in with me last year, and again in summer that same condition flared up – she was suffering a great deal and reluctantly asked me to resume the hospital treatment. Instead, I treated her with frequent low-dosage MMS and in 5 days she was completely cured! It has not re-occurred since, and minor flare-ups are always addressed quickly and thoroughly again with MMS. You can imagine my relief and gratitude.
_____________________________
I am well familiar with alternative remedies such as MMS, as my ex-wife and I have made extensive (successful) use of them over the years for our four children. As such we are also well familiar with the FDA and its track record of protecting Big Pharma, suppressing any information about other treatments, and cruelly persecuting individuals and groups such as MMS and Daniel Smith. The FDA is an agency whose very existence – let alone its methods and mandate – needs to seriously and soberly be called into question.
Thank you for helping do so, and therein coming to the aide of citizens in the USA Canada and elsewhere.
gratefully,
Wayne F.

12) My wife has suffered for years from Rosacea, which she took a prescription medication for, and reflux. A few years ago she had a fungal infection on her feet that her doctor told her could be treated with a drug that could likely damage her liver or she could suffer from the fungus. We learned about chlorine dioxide and began using MMS on a daily basis. Within a week the fungus was goneas was the Rosacea. To test the effectiveness of MMS on her reflux, she ate a bowl of ice cream one evening before going to bed. She took a dose of MMS and slept peacefully throughout the night. Prior to MMS, she would have been up all night suffering from the reflux. Not only do we have our own use of MMS as a testimonial to its effectiveness, but prior to beginning to use it, I did some research and found a study from Ohio State University in 1981 regarding the oral consumption of Chlorine Dioxide in humans. The results can be found at this site: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1569027/pdf/envhper00463-0059.pdf
Chlorine Dioxide has been used for water treatment on a large scale worldwide since 1956 and first used in 1944. It is also approved by the FDA in food treatment. It is interesting that the FDA has no restrictions regarding the sale of Sodium Chlorite. A Google search for Sodium Chlorite suppliers generates over 85,000 results including chemical giant DuPont. Why does the FDA come down hard on a company that sells an FDA approved product? Perhaps it could be that at about $25.00 per year per user it cuts into the big pharmacy companies´ profits.

13) Thank you, Chris, for your journalistic bravery in telling Daniel´s story. What has been done to him is nothing short of criminal. Now I´m going to tell you my MMS story....
I have been a nurse for 3 decades and have come to the place I see many others in my profession arriving at - realizing that the medical-industrial complex in this country has at best failed the public and in reality has done far worse.
I first discovered MMS 7 years ago and have used it "religiously" ever since. I was so convinced of its efficacy that 2 years ago I became a Minister of Health in the Genesis II Church of Health and Healing.
Eight years ago I was diagnosed with a virus conventional doctors told me was incurable. I suffered with the symptoms using ineffective anti-viral medication for a year to manage the outbreaks (which didn´t work very well) before I heard about MMS and decided to try it. Being a healthcare professional I researched it thoroughly first, even emailed my questions along the way to Jim Humble.
At that time Jim was recommending the old higher dose protocols, which I followed precisely. I worked my way up to 15 drop doses, 3 times a day, and took that for a month - that was the maximum dosage Jim recommended anyone ever needed. I was never harmed by such high doses, though it did not make for a "tasty" drink! The new lower dosage protocols are much easier to tolerate.
The bottom line of this story is that after that month I was cured. I have never experienced another symptom, nor passed the virus on to anyone else in the past 7 years. Although my blood work shows antibodies (which are always present once someone has been exposed to a virus), they are very low.
In the years since, if I catch a cold or flu, I do "protocol 1000" for a couple days. I generally start to feel better after 4 hours and am back to normal after about 48 hours, while others around me may be struggling with lingering cold/flu symptoms for 2 weeks. I have a tendency to get ear infections and when I do I use the same protocol plus make an ear drop mixture of MMS with the same results - my symptoms are gone in 2 days and I´m back to normal. Everyone I know who uses MMS correctly can tell a similar story.
I also have a 20-year history of benign skin cancers - basal and squamous cell, for which I´ve had skin surgeries which can be disfiguring. I´ve tried lazers, creams and anything I can to avoid going under the knife. A couple years ago I was diagnosed with a squamous cell lesion on my leg. But I decided before doing anything else, I would try using MMS topically on it, which I did every day for a couple weeks. A month after it was diagnosed and I went back to the dermatologist - she could not even find the spot! It was gone, and has never returned.
These days, I use MMS for everything that has any associated pathogens - I brush my teeth with it, use it as deodorant, I even spray it on my fruits and vegetables. I found it interesting that the FDA has attempted to discredit MMS as harmful, yet it is the only anti-pathogen that the FDA allows the food industry to use and does not require it be washed off!! If MMS is so dangerous, why wouldn´t they require it to be washed off? That´s because MMS converts to a miniscule amount of simple table salt and leaves no residue behind. So the FDA has completely contradicted themselves on this one.
It is my belief that their motivation in trying to destroy Daniel was to make an example of him as the largest distributor of MMS in the US. MMS is inexpensive, can´t be patented, and actually "cures" rather than just treats symptoms, and that it has grown in popularity serves to make it a threat to the FDA´s masters - the multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical industry. I´ve made my career in the healthcare industry and the more research I do into what really goes on, the more appalled I am, and the more I am driven to educate others in the truth and how they can heal themselves.

14) There are some inaccuracies, but I would like to show my gratitude for a report that seems to honestly represent the intent of the speakers interviewed, myself included. I appreciate your effort to report what you investigated in a balanced fashion. There is no way that a non scholar is going to get all of the details right, especially on a newspaper´s timeline and without peer review. That being said, the heart of the issue and the concern of both sides (including users with benefit and medical professionals with chemical cautions, and excluding the federal government who will not comment) was brought out clearly, concisely, and with care. Good job Chris Stein and good job Inlander.

15) I would like to provide some feedback and corrections to your 23-may-2012 article, "When a ´Miracle´ Meets the FDA" (http://tinyurl.com/chbzrhg).
First of all, let´s properly identify the chemical, chlorine dioxide, which is not bleach (chlorine) as your article implies, the chemical sign of which is Cl. Chlorine dioxide is Cl02 which is a single chlorine molecule and 2 oxygen molecules. While the layman (and uneducated doctors apparently) might assume they are the same since they both contain the word "chlorine", they are actually quite different from a scientific point of view. Chlorine dioxide is not bleach.
Also the comment from Washington State University’s Drug Information Center stating that "[...] chlorine dioxide and sodium chlorite can both cause burns and irritation to the esophageal tract if ingested." is irrelevant and misleading since the sodium chlorite is not ingested at anywhere near full strength. It takes a single dose of approximately 4-5 tablespoons of ordinary table salt to severely poison or kill an average adult. Should we state in recipes that salt can cause death?
MMS is mixed at a 1:1 ratio with a 50% citric acid solution, then diluted with water. A quantity of 3 drops of MMS mixed with 3 drops of citric acid (a typical dose) already dilutes the MMS by 50%. When we then add 4 oz. of water, which is equivalent to approximately 1,440 drops, the MMS is now diluted at a ratio of approximately 1:481.
In the article you state, "To doctors, chlorine dioxide is a bleaching agent with no medical use.". Who are these doctors? How many were polled? This is a blanket statement that, again, is false and misleading. Please refer to the following short video interview...
A Conscientious Doctor Comments on MMS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bp1eqTajcpQ
Ignored entirely by mainstream medicine are the testimonials and scientific evidence of the beneficial effects of MMS, as well as the lack of harmful effects. Is it not important that 10´s of thousands of people, some with "terminal" diseases such as cancer, have eliminated disease? Approximately 75,000 were cured of malaria alone, not to mention a myriad of other pathogen related diseases.
Like numerous others, I can also attest to my personal experience with MMS as I have eliminated a few minor problems that have plagued me for years, as well as one so-called "incurable" disease.
Many years ago I damaged my lower spine and went to a chiropractor for help. In addition to adjusting my lower spine, he also adjusted the vertebra in my neck area. Since this can be a bit painful, I think that many people tend to tense up in anticipation of having their neck adjusted. I was completely relaxed and, that, in combination with the fact that the practitioner was an ex-football player, resulted in damage to my neck which was fine prior to the adjustment. This damage would manifest on occasion, such as after moving my head a certain way, which would cause significant pain and the inability to turn my head to the left. This condition existed for approximately 18 years.
When I started taking MMS, I had no expectation that it would have an effect on what i assumed was permanent mechanical damage to the vertebra in my neck, however it not only alleviated 90% of the problem, but did so in approximately 6 hours.
Knowing that MMS cannot repair mechanical damage, i did some research and found that a barrier can form around an injury which blocks the immune system from reaching it. The MMS apparently removed this barrier, thus allowing my immune system to heal the injury.
About 13 years ago I was diagnosed as having genital herpes [Herpes simplex 2] which, as you may know, is deemed "incurable". Outbreaks were fairly consistent and averaged 1 to 2 times per month. I cannot state for certain that the disease is gone as I have not been re-tested, but since taking MMS over the last several years, i have not had an outbreak and all symptoms have disappeared.
It is also interesting that your article makes no mention of a highly significant event in which the US~Observer (http://www.usobserver.com/) will be challenging the FDA regarding MMS, available here: http://tinyurl.com/bsqxwxl

16) The ingredients are not patentable and therefore there is no huge money to be garnered so the FDA is not interested. The second most important fact is that MMS works and there are thousands of testimonials to this. The big drug companies finance the FDA and therefore it is imperative that the FDA try to shut down the sale of these water purification drops or risk the repercussions from Big Pharma.
Project Green Life sold water purification drops. What the consumers did with the product thereafter was not their responsibility. Many of us procure various products all the time and use them differently than the creator intended. It is our right and privilege once we purchase them.
We, and many others in our circle use and believe in MMS.
There are literally hundreds of uses for these water purification drops. Some of the lesser know ones are in the case of a burn. Nothing I have ever tried has even come close to what the water purification drops do. In mere minutes the pain is totally gone. Healing is so fast and there is no scarring. Amazing product.
My son rid his apartment of bedbugs that he inherited when he moved in with Water Purification Drops. It is an amazing deodorizer and sanitizer leaving a pure clean space.
One drop of the water purification drops and the itch and sting of an insect bite is gone instantly. I use it on my grandchildren often. A simple spray mixture and voila, diaper rash disappears.
I could go on and on about the many many uses of this product.
While this attack on Daniel and Project Green Life is unwarranted and unfounded the FDA does MMS a favour each time they attempt to cause havoc as it increases the public knowledge of the product. Individuals are waking up and learning to take responsibility for their own health and well-being. MMS offers them an alternative to Big Pharma products that often do not make us better and are more often extremely expensive. MMS is about $20 for a one year supply.
I have had the privilege of meeting Daniel personally and it is my opinion that he is a man of integrity and has a huge compassion for humanity

18) Actually MMS is not just sodium chlorite; it is a combination of sodium chlorite Na ClO2 and citric acid.
One should never consume straight sodium chlorite!!! Once it is mixed with citric acid it produces ClO2-Chlorine Dioxide and this is a very strong oxidizer and is what gets the job done.
The simple biochemistry is this: Anything that gives up electrons is an anti-oxidant. ClO2 or MMS gives up five of them. Anything that receives those electrons is a toxin and is neutalized. [Editor's Note: This person has the equation backwards. CLO2 is a reducing agent so it picks up 5 electrons; and the pathogens are oxidized, meaning they lose electrons..Ken Adachi] Once MMS has given up it´s electrons it is harmlessly expelled from the body. Doseage is usually kept at three drops per hour so as to not overload the system with the expelled toxins.
So from my experience this does work and is VERY INEXPENSIVE and there in lies the problem that causes problems with BIG PHARMA and the FDA. IT CAN NOT BE PATENTED!!!

19) I have been taking MMS for over 2 years with tremendous health benefits. I am understanding that most health problems are caused by parasites, bad bacteria and toxins accumulated in our bodies. MMS is the safest and best way to eliminate these causes of your health problems so that your own body is able to heal itself! Imagine that, no drugs are required as our pharmaceutical controlled FDA illegally pushes and tries to enforce. This substance truly is a miracle that big pharma doesn´t want you to know about and through the FDA has spread untruths trying to discredit MMS.

P.S. It took about a year on MMS (6-10 drops 2 x day) to cure my dad of Leukemia. His Oncologist did not want to know how we did it and stated, "My hands are tied, I can only offer Chemo or Surgery." You would think that a doctor would be curious to know a cure for cancer, but no, they are only taught to follow... and ignore something that works.

20) I´m in complete & total agreement with sunshinespa2000.... the ´sick´ Industry (Which is comprised by the FDA & Big Pharma) has much to lose by a Product such as MMS which builds the body´s immune system so it can ´heal´ itself.. the way NATURE intended.
By the way, I´d like to inform the uninformed;
( Question:) What´s the difference between chlorine (bleach) and chlorine dioxide?
(ANSWER:) While chlorine dioxide (ClO2) has chlorine in its name, chlorine dioxide´s chemistry is different from that of chlorine. Unlike the more common chlorine, chlorine dioxide, at appropriate concentrations, is non-mutagenic, non-carcinogenic, and relatively non-irritating. When ClO2 is added to water, it dissolves without ionizing. Or more specifically, when exposed to water, ClO2 does not release a chlorine atom to form hydrochloric acid as does chlorine, nor does it combine with organics to form chlorinated hydrocarbons, which are carcinogenic.
One atom can make all the difference --- just as hydrogen is an explosive gas, but when combined with oxygen becomes dihydrogen oxide - commonly known as water (H2O).

21) I have personally benefited from MMS several times and have seen other benefiting from it also!
But the main point here is to stop the FDA to limit our own freedom in using different health products as we see fit and stop them harassing honest people and businesses to disseminate news of such products. Why harassing people over products that never have done any harm instead of stopping legal drugs sold for a higher profit that kill people every year ...
It´s time we, the people, affirm our right in taking care of our own health!

22) Two years ago, I asked my holistic doctor how to aviod taking the maleria vaccine, as I was going to visit India. He told me about MMS. I took it preceeding the trip, which was with 12 other travelers, including a medical doctor and his family. EVERYONE on the trip got sick, one way or another---except me!!! Also, this year, I had an eye infection, and was given a medicine to put in my eyes. Took the prescribed medicine, and it helped just a little. Soo- I decided to put a MMS solution in my eyes, it did sting a bit, but the infection was healed in two days!! MMS is not a healer, it is a killer of pathegens, and is an enhancer of the immune system. Completely natural! If the FDA were to ok it as a medicine, BIG PHARMA would be involved, it would be prescribed by doctors and become very expensive. I am sure this will not happen, because a person becomes healed, and that means no more work for doctors, pharmacists, makers of medicines, etc. We can not have the world with no disease, can we??? FDA is big, has lots of money to fight this , but where is the morality??? Keeping people sick?? I am very thankful that my doctor told me about this. As I live in Mexico, it is perfectly legal here, thank God!!!
