I don't especially want to listen to National Public Radio (more accurately, National Propaganda Radio), but I have few alternative choices if I want to hear talk radio. There are exactly TWO all-talk FM stations (in English) in southern California.: KPFK (Left wing mecca for "progressives". Translation: Liberals, Socialists, & Communists) and KPCC (one of over 910 "community" radio stations controlled and dominated by NPR). The "PCC" stands for Pasadena City College. If the radio station licence for KPCC at 89.3 FM was granted to a community college in Pasadena, California, why aren't we hearing college kids yammering away instead of that slick, pro-Zionist, pro-Right, pro-NWO propaganda crew from NPR? There are hundreds of radio station licenses that were allocated to colleges and universities across America that have been co-opted and taken over by NPR. Has anyone ever questioned this?
How many students attending a community college or university with a radio station that has been co-opted by NPR realize the loss that represents to them, the student body of that school? The air waves are considered to be owned by the public. When the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) allocated frequency slots and transmitting wattage limits, universities and colleges were given a special classification so that American college kids could use the public air waves to express THEIR ideas and opinions as an appropriate and proper venue for PUBLIC use of the air waves. The decision to join with NPR and become a "member" station were NOT made by the alumni and student bodies of those co-opted schools, but rather by school reagents or trustees or board members who were certainly NOT functioning as trustees for STUDENT'S interest.
In my area, there's a small 1,000 or 2,000 watt radio station associated with the University of California, Irvine campus called KUCI at 88.9FM and it's functioning as EVERY college radio station across America should be operating: radio programs hosted by students (or faculty) FOR students. The takeover of community college radio stations by NPR is a HUGE scandal that needs to be addressed and rectified.
AM Talk Radio
There are many more AM talk radio stations, but AM talk radio is dominated by 900+ Clear Channel radio stations which relentlessly tows the neo-con propaganda themes of the Al-CIAda "terrorists", Taliban "insurgents", fanatical "Muslim radicals" and the ever-growing "Islamic threat" Bogey Man which seems to grow another foot or two every week. Just try calling in to one of these AM talk shows and broach the idea that 911 was an inside job, or that vaccines are not good for you, or that Israel is something less than the great defender of freedom and liberty and peace in the Middle East and see what happens to you.
Clear Channel was consolidated under Bush family pal and fellow billionaire Tom Hicks, with some help from Clinton's pal, Vernon Jordan. Right wing money bags Lowry Mays is currently running the ship.
Back to NPR
The pro-Pentagon, pro-Israel, pro-Right, pro-corporate bias at NPR is unmistakable ~ and infuriating. It's not too hard to figure out what's going on when you hear the names of the organizations who SPONSOR NPR programming: The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, The Pew Charitable Trust, the Annenberg Foundation, The Ford Foundation, etc., etc.
NPR "governance" is in the hands of the same Zionist-controlled, "globalists", corporate propaganda prostitutes who deliver us the "news" at the New York Times, or CNN, and video "documentaries" from the propaganda factory at WGBH in Boston. Another thing to pay attention to is that many of these individuals are not born in America. NPR President Vivian Schiller's bio says that she started out as a Russian interpreter for CNN in Russia. Something is whispering in my ear that she's likely Russian born (she looks Russian). The Chair of the NPR Foundation, Antoine W. van Agtmael, tells you up front that he got his undergraduate degree in the Netherlands.
Vivian Schiller , President and CEO of the NPR Foundation:
Vivian took over in 2009 from Kevin Klose, who ran the show from 1998 to 2009 (what a background he has: Voice of America, Radio Liberty, Radio Free Europe, Radio Free Asia, Worldnet Television, and Radio /TV Marti (Is there anyone on the planet who doesn't know these are CIA propaganda operations?).
And what's Vivian's background?
From her bio posted at NPR (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=99152497)
"Prior to joining NPR, Vivian Schiller served at The New York Times Company as Senior Vice President and General Manager of NYTimes.com. Schiller led the day-to-day operations of NYTimes.com, the largest newspaper website on the Internet, overseeing product, technology, marketing, classifieds, strategic planning, and business development.
Previously, Schiller spent four years as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Discovery Times Channel, a joint venture of The New York Times and Discovery Communications. Schiller launched the network, and under her leadership, Discovery Times Channel tripled its distribution while achieving critical acclaim for its award winning journalistic programming.
Schiller also served as Senior Vice President of CNN Productions, where she led CNN's long-form programming efforts. Documentaries and series produced under her auspices earned multiple honors, including three Peabody Awards, four Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University Awards, and dozens of Emmys.
"Schiller began her career as a simultaneous Russian interpreter in the former Soviet Union, which led her to documentary production work for Turner Broadcasting."
Antoine W. van Agtmael:
Chair, NPR Foundation; Chairman and Chief Investment Officer, Emerging Markets Management, LLP
"Antoine W. van Agtmael is Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Emerging Markets Management LLC and a director of Strategic Investment Partners. Previously he was deputy director of the Capital Markets Department in the International Finance Corporation, division chief in the World Bank's borrowing operations, managing director of Thai Investment and Securities Company, Ltd, and vice president of Bankers Trust.
He is the author of several books on investing in emerging markets and has taught courses at Georgetown Law Center, Thammasat University, and the Harvard Institute of Politics. He is a director of various investment funds.
He is a Trustee of The Brookings Institution, the Chair of their International Advisory Council and is a member of the Investment Committee. Antoine is on the Board of Trustees of the Washington National Opera, National Public Radio Foundation, and Global Rights. He is also a member of the Yale President's Council on International Activities, and Johns Hopkins University's Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) Advisory Council and sits on the board of the American Balalaika Symphony.
Antoine received his undergraduate degree from the Netherlands School of Economics, an M.A. from Yale University and M.B.A. from New York University's Stern School. He and his wife Emily have two children.
Public Members of the Board
Carol Cartwright:
President, Bowling Green State University
Eduardo A. Hauser:
Chief Executive Officer, DailyMe, Inc.
John A Herrmann, Jr.:
Vice Chairman, Lincoln International
Lyle Logan:
Executive Vice President, Northern Trust Global Investments
Howard H. Stevenson:
Sarofim-Rock Baker Foundation Professor, Harvard Business School; Senior Associate Dean, Director of HBS Publishing;
Chair of the Board, NPR
Take the time to look up any of these individuals, and you will see the elitist, corporate background every time.
NPR attempts to maintain this charade that they are underwritten by listeners from member radio stations and just receive a stipend supplemental support from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB is also controlled by pro-Israel, pro-corporate, pro-government shills) and some corporate sponsors. But the money that goes into running such a huge operation as NPR takes big bucks and big bucks only comes from Deep Pockets; Illuminated deep pockets.
Web Sites Criticizing NPR's Bias & Blatant Propaganda Peddling
1. I found one guy on the net by the name of Matthew Murrey , a librarian in Urbana, Illinois, who's trying to expose the unmitigated propaganda torrent that flows from NPR as best he can, but it's going to take a full time effort by someone with the time, determination and resources to properly counter NPR's daily diet of misdirection, misinformation, disinformation, deception, and omissions. (Matthew does a good job all the same. )
Please, will someone send step into the breech and counter these deceiving NPR phonies with the daily, rebuttal-shellacking that they so richly deserve?

Dear Mr. Adachi
I was most interested in your article titled "NPR, America's Daily Propaganda Gristmill" that I found on your site on 10-11-10.
It is a whole new concept for me to think of NPR as "right wing."
I am sure many would say I am "right wing" but I have never belonged to any
political party nor do I considered myself "right wing" whatever that term means.
I wanted to ask that you check one piece of information you have in this article
because I do not believe it is completely accurate.
"There are many more AM talk radio stations, but AM talk radio is dominated by 900+
Clear Channel radio stations which relentlessly tows the neo-con propaganda themes
of the Al-CIAda "terrorists", Taliban "insurgents", fanatical "Muslim radicals" and
the ever-growing "Islamic threat" Bogey Man which seems to grow another foot or two
every week. Just try calling in to one of these AM talk shows and broach the idea
that 911 was an inside job, or that vaccines are not good for you, or that Israel is
something less than the great defender of freedom and liberty and peace in the
Middle East and see what happens to you.
Clear Channel was consolidated under Bush family pal and fellow billionaire Tom
Hicks, with some help from Clinton's pal, Vernon Jordan. Right wing money bags Lowry
Mays is currently running the ship. "
"Mitt Romney founded Bain & Co. in 1984, and today its spinoff — Bain Capital — is
the third largest private equity firm in the country. Today they bought ClearChannel, a company that owns over 1100 radio stations and 30 TV stations"
_________
Lowry Mays is the founder and probably major stock holder of Clear Channel, but his
son is CEO and another son is vice president. His daughter Linda is married to Texas
U.S. Congressman (Democrat turned Republican) Michael McCaul.
"McCaul's wife Linda is the daughter of Clear Channel Communications Chairman Lowry Mays and sister of Clear Channel CEO Mark Mays. Their children are daughters Caroline, Jewell, Avery and Lauren, and a son, Michael." ]
So it appear Mitt Romney is the neocon that really owns and operates Clear Channel.
Mitt Romney engineered the takedown of Debra Medina, opponent of Tx Gov Rick Perry,
by two of its radio station talk show hosts, Glenn Beck interview of her on 2-11-10
and
Interview of Debra Medina radio show host, Mark Davis*, took place on Thursday, February 18, 2010, at 8:30 a.m. Central Time.
WBAP-AM, News/Talk 820, Dallas Texas [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3OTXSK09fs ]
ClearChannel radio show host Glenn Beck did not do a complete job of the takedown of
Medina, so another Clear Channel radio show host, Mark Davis, finished the job on
Feb. 18 2010 interview. Media made a deal to throw her gubernatorial campaign under
the bus in exchange, I surmise, for having any kind of future in Texas politics.
I just think somehow the Mitt Romney connection to Clear Channel needs to be
verified and made more clear because Romney is very much in the RNC manipulation of
who will be the mext Republican presidential candidate.
9-11 truth is very much at the core of all these phony left / right media
manipulations these days and to me is the litmus test to know that both the
"mainstream left" and the "mainstream right" are just globalist war mongering new
world order death and slavery system promoters.
Not sure Debra Medina (and her Ron Paul libertarian affiliations) are outside of
this phony left right Hegelian performance.
Thank you for your website and this very interesting article about NPR.

Greetings Ken,
I have listened to National Programming Radio more than is
good for me, & I agree that it is not "News" in the sense I think of.One only has to
listen to the credits for sponsors, to figure that out.Good piece, & I will forward
it to those I hope will wake up from their long slumber. The only thing I question on
your site are "Sylphs".I don't know if they are real & true, but in my part of No.
Mn., Chemtrails occur regularly, bringing with them an influx of illness, & there
ain't no sylphs helping us here. The latest is a "Headcold" epidemic that everyone
seems to have caught at the same time-miraculously.
