"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."
Matthew 7:15
"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not."
2 Peter 2:1-3
"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."
1 John 4:1
"Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his Maker."
Proverbs 17:5
"Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? But ye have despised the poor."
James 2:5-6
Jesse Duplantis
Jessus Duplantis cruelly equates people that oppose the "Prosperity Gospel" to the terrorists from September 11. Jesse Duplantis equates them to christians "Who fly" accusations into them! How cruel to to equate that with terrorists "that flew" their planes into those buildings and committed 2,500 hundred murders!
Jesse Duplantis is a Word Faith teacher. The Word Faith basically teaches the following, although not all Word Faith teachers are unified in all that they believe: Christians are little gods (Are Christians little god's?) Jesus did not pay for our sins on the cross but he had to finish the job of atonement in hell (Did Jesus pay for our sins in hell?). We can command God by our words and God wants us healthy and wealthy (Danger of Blessings). If Christians are not healthy and wealthy it is because of our lack of faith and/or knowledge (Christians and Sickness). Christians have total control over their environment by the words that we speak, if we speak sickness and poverty we will be sick and broke. Conversely, if Christians speak blessings and healing we will be healthy and wealthy.
The Bible makes it very clear, God even simplified the matter by placing it all into one easy to understand chapter. God teaches us the following: that we should be content, we should not desire to be rich, the love of money is the root of all evil, that many people have erred from the faith due to a love of money, then it commands us to flee these things, (1 Timothy 6).
"Supposing that gain is godliness; from such withdraw thyself...But godliness with contentment is great gain...And having food and clothes let us be content...But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts...For the love of money is the root of all evil, which, while some have coveted after, they have erred from the faith...But thou, O man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness," 1 Timothy 6:6-11.
Jesse Duplantis:
"He [God] trusts me enough to borrowing my money. It's an honor for God to ask you to borrow your money...I've had the Lord say, 'Would you help me out today?' Yeah, what you need Lord? 'A couple of bucks.' Ok!"
(Jesse Duplantis, Audio-clip, We Care Ministries. Compare this with Psalm 50:12 "If I were hungry, I would not tell you; for the world is Mine, and all it's fullness.")
"The very first thing on Jesus' agenda was to get rid of poverty! Would you like to know why some people, including ministries, never get out of poverty? Its not because they aren't smart. Its not because they don't have windows of opportunity. Its because they're not anointed. If you're not anointed, poverty will follow you all the days of your life. His first objective was to get rid of poverty."
(Jesse Duplantis, Voice of the Covenant Magazine, Pg 5, Nov. 1997)
"The Bible makes it clear that the blessings of God are a result of choice, not chance. Yet, a lot of people don't preach this very basic truth anymore. Why? They're scared of christian terrorists who'll fly into them with accustations. There is persecution that comes when you preach prosperity, but the Lord told me, 'Jesse, don't you back off that message because it takes money to get the gospel to the world.' 'But Jesus was poor!' Someone argued. You are living in a dreamworld if you believe that. Have you ever been to a casino? Have you ever seen a gambler say, 'I'm putting all my money on those torn up, old clothes?' They don't gamble for rags. Yet, the Bible says that the Roman soldiers gambled for Jesus clothes. They must have looked pretty good. He also had a full time staff of 12 and a part time staff of 70."
(Jesse Duplantis, "Prosperity is not About Possesions, It's About Priorities," VOCM Feb. 2004)
Note: This article deals with the terrorists from September 11. Jesse equates them to christians "Who fly" accusations into them! How cruel to to equate that with terrorists "that flew" their planes into those buildings and committed 2,500 hundred murders!
"Jesus rode what I like to call a Continental Donkey. One of them Caddilac Donkey's that had never been rode. You might want a car that has never been drove. You ever think about that?"
(Jesse Duplantis, Daystar Fall, "Share-A-Thon," September 15, 2004)
Jesse Duplantis: "People told me, 'Well, they say, Jesus was poor.' When was He poor? I would like to know when He was poor. Well, He was born in a stable. Why? Why was He born in a stable? Because that short, deaf lady lost their reservation. He couldn't get into the inn. Think about that for a minute...And He had 12 full time people on His staff. Some were married and He took care of them. He had 70 part timers. You don't gamble for rags Marcus [Lamb]. Marcus Lamb: "Yeah." Jesse Duplantis: "You don't gamble for rags. You gamble for some clothes that cost. Don't you? He wanted a donkey that had never been rode. As I said earlier, 'You might want a car that has never been drove.' Marcus Lamb: "He had a full time treasurer on staff." Jesse Duplantis: "That's right! And stole for three years and the other guys didn't know about it." Joni Lamb: "And wise men came to see Him." Jesse Duplantis: "That's right! I mean He wasn't three minutes on the ground and the three wise guys are looking for Him with what? Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh. Let me tell you something, this concept that Jesus was in poverty is totally wrong!" (Jesse Duplantis, Marcus Lamb, and Joni Lamb, Daystar Fall, "Share-A-Thon," September 15, 2004)
"I know why people get mad at me for being blessed...It's because I'm the only one they see! They can't see God so they take it out on me. But, that's ok, I stick up for my Father. I stick up for His Word. Harvest time is mine!"
(Jesse Duplantis, "Your Future is in Your Seed," VOCM May 2004)
"I'm laying this responsibility right on me too, because I have got to believe every day for my partners that they will receive thirty, sixty, and a hundred fold."
(Jesse Duplantis, "Your Future is in Your Seed," VOCM May 2004)
"I can honestly say that the Lord has done everything I have prayed for."
(Jesse Duplantis, pg. 44 Heaven Close Encounters of the God kind)
"If I give $1,000 dollars I deserve to get back $100,000 because I am just, that's not greed!"
(Jesse Duplantis, December 19, 2003 TBN, "The just shall live by faith.")
"Cash is king!...The hundered fold works, If I give $50 you mean God will give me $5,000? Yes!...If you give $1,000 in the offering this morning, will God give you $100,000 by tomorrow? Yes!"
(Jesse Duplantis, January 24, 2004, The Church Channel, "The Choke Hold")
"Even in intensive care units I smile. They try to smile and I say, 'Are
you having problems?' They say, 'Yeah.' I say, 'Have no fear Jesus is here.'"
(Jesse Duplantis, "Your future Is In Your Seed," May 21, 2004)
"The very foundation of what God does is sowing and reaping. If you don't get that you will not get anything else...He sowed Christ expecting christians."
(Jesse Duplantis, "Your future Is In Your Seed," May 21, 2004)
"All my life I've heard people say, 'Jesse, you want your pie in the sky and you want to eat it too.' That's true, I do....But for you to act properly in heaven, you have to learn some things on earth. If you have never lived in a mansion, you don't know how to act in one."
(Jesse Duplantis, "Getting Your Pie in the Sky and Eating it Too," VOCM November 2003)
"So how do you get your pie in the sky and eat it too? By using the power that God has put inside you. According to the Bible, He has given us the power to get saved, the power to get healed and the power to get wealth. He's also given us the power to get anything else we need."
(Jesse Duplantis, "Getting Your Pie in the Sky and Eating it Too," VOCM November 2003)

(Jesse Duplantis, "Getting Your Pie in the Sky and Eating it Too," VOCM November 2003)
"Pain is merely a passage to a miracle. When I felt that pain in my shoulder, I knew that it meant a miracle was heading my way. I knew I wouldn't lose unless I chose to lose."

"Did He heal in the Bible? Then why are you accepting that sickness? Why are you content to live with it?"
(Jesse Duplantis, "Never Fight an Enemy that is Already Defeated," VOCM July 2003)
"What exalts itself above the knowledge of God? Cancer does. The Bible says that by Jesus' stripes you were healed. Cancer says, 'You're gonna die.' Which one will you believe? Yeah, Brother Jesse, but my doctor says I'm going to die. Then your doctor has exalted himself above the knowledge of God. What report are you going to think about, meditate on and allow to perculate in your mind? What God said or what the doctor said?"
(Jesse Duplantis, "Getting Your Pie in the Sky and Eating it Too," VOCM November 2003)
Note: I believe that we should seek God for healing in every situation in our life. But the sad thing that this type of preaching does is heap guilt upon the people who are sick. Because if they remain sick it is because of their lack of faith! How cruel is that? See my article on Christians and sickness that refutes this false teaching: What About Sickness? Are All Christians To Be Healed By God?. Also see my link on sick Faith Healers
"I can understand a little bit of how he felt, because I thought the same thing during an Oklahoma hailstorm. I was in Oklahoma with Willie George and Ken Copeland when it happened...All of a sudden Ken [Copeland] got a revelation. He stuck his finger out the truck and said, 'Devil! Stop it! I said, stop it!.'...It glorified God For Ken to take authority over that hailstorm, just like it glorified God when David took authority over Goliath."
(Jesse Duplantis, "If the Suit Don't Fit, It's Not Yours," VOCM December 2003)
"I wanted to cut and run, but I knew God would rather I stay and preach than to alter the words of my mouth. So I decided to preach a short, light sermonette and leave. On Sunday morning, I walked into a sanctuary that would hold around 1500 people, and there were about 45 there. Every one of them was mad as a hornet. I prayed for the Rapture. Suck me out of here Because I know none of these fools will be going! I was about to open my mouth and preach something 'light' when the Lord filled it. I began to prophesy...At the end of the prophecy I said, 'who wants to get saved?' The pastor jumped up and and yelled, 'I do!' His wife jumped up and yelled, 'I do!' Then the other 43 people jumped up and said, We do!' The whole congregation gave their heart to Jesus. That church is running about 1500 now."

"God has told us to believe Him for a Citation X (10), an 18 million dollar corporate jet with the speed and fuel capacity to fly anywhere in the world. How will this come to pass? God has promised us that He will call upon 18,000 JDM Covenant Partners and friends around the world to sow a seed of one thousand dollars to this project. If you would like to be one of the 18,000 to sow a seed of $1,000 for the Citation X, we want to hear from you!"
(Jesse Duplantis, "Getting Your Pie in the Sky and Eating it Too," VOCM November 2003)
"As these last days draw to a close, it's time to speed up the work and reach more nations with the Gospel. God will not be satisfied with a half fulfilled assignment and niether should we. In order to complete this assignment, God has told us to believe Him for a Citation X (10), an 18 million corporate jet with the speed and fuel capacity to fly anywhere in the world. How will this come to pass? God has promised us the He will call upon 18,000 JDM Covenant Partners and Friends around the world to sow a seed of $1,000 towards this project."
Jesse Duplantis, "Voice of the Covenant Magazine" VOCM March 2004)
"I have been saving to buy some new digital video camera equiptment to shoot outdoor and wildlife pictures. However, I believe in my heart at this time you getting the Citation 10 is more important. So I'm sending you this check for $3,791.00. Please put it toward your new plane."
(Donor from Oregon, VOCM November 2003)
"JDM will need to spend at least 2 million dollars for new digital video equipment. God has told us to pray for 200 people that will each sow a seed of $1,000..."
(Jesse Duplantis, VOCM July 2003)
"Blessed! I sowed a seed of fifty Australian dollars to Jesse Duplantis Ministries. I was wondering how God was going to bless me and whether there would be a 100-fold return. I know that God is no debtor of man and we can never out give God. Guess what? God blessed me with a bonus payment of $5,000 US dollars! That’s more than a 100-fold return. Praise the Lord!"
(Jesse Duplantis website June 2004, "Partner Praise")
"Recently I planted a seed of $40 into your ministry after reading the Covenant praise reports...Well the Lord Jesus multiplied the $40 one hundred fold. A check was mailed for the amount of $4,304.60."
(Donor from Louisianna, VOCM November 2003)
"...The short version of the story is that his salary has gone from $70,000 to $200,000! That is more than a 100% return on the offering I gave into your ministry!"
("More Than a Hundred-fold", "Parner Praise," Donor from England, VOCM June 2003)
"...We came to your meeting in Sydney, and you taught about the 100 fold return. God told us to sow a $1,000 to your ministry that night...Every time you come to Australia we sow into your ministry. We now own 3 Pre Schools. We now walk in this blessing thanks to you."
("Partner Praise," Donor from Australia, VOCM August 2003)
"We recently planted a seed into your ministry. As you have often taught on your broadcasts, we named our seed 'raise at work,'..."
("Partner Praise," Donor from Oregon, VOCM August 2003)
"My friend told me to give to your ministry and I did. My husbands paycheck has tripled, and I got a promotion and a pay raise at my job."
("Partner Praise," Donor from Florida, VOCM December 2003)
"I can see that the prosperity that you preach works. You have the 100 fold blessing on your ministry and I want to tell you how I know...When they took the offering, you told us what the offering was going for and also prayed the 100 fold blessing over us...I remembered that $10 we sowed and I want to tell you that more than a $1,000 came to us in ways that we would have never accepted."
("Partner Praise," Donor from Pennsylvania, VOCM January 2004)
"When I'm talking to somebody and I want to blow their mind, I just say, 'You know, the Lord spoke to me the other day.' They'll interupt and say, 'Who?' I say, 'The Lord!' And they'll say, 'Uh, you mean, the Lord spoke to you?' It's beyond what they can imagine happening to them and so, they assume it can't happen to me. Why do they make that assumption? Because they don't have access to God and so, actually hearing the Holy Spirit speak is near impossible to them."
(Jesse Duplantis, "What it Takes to be a Person of Great Faith" VOCM March 2004)
"Do you want a future? Look at your seed. What are you giving?"
(Jesse Duplantis, "Your Future is in Your Seed," VOCM May 2004)
"But, the whole key to financial seed is that God is trying to get something to you."

"If the Devil throws doubt in your mind, doubt it! Speak faith. That will cancel out his doubt."
(Jesse Duplantis, "Your Future is in Your Seed," VOCM May 2004)
"The Devil will get confused. He'll start talking to other devils, saying, 'Listen, I put doubt in the man's mind and he doubted it.' They'll say, 'How'd he do that.' He'll say, 'I don't know, I'm still doubting it myself, I don't know how he did that?'"
(Jesse Duplantis, "Your Future is in Your Seed," VOCM May 2004)
“Well, I believe God. I don't believe in that prosperity stuff.” It's in the Bible. “Well, people got greedy with it.” Well, that's true, but you don't throw the baby out with the bath water. If poverty is so wonderful, how come Jesus left? He ain't poor no more!…I've had many people say, you can't believe like that! Well, bless God, watch me! What faith will do for one man, faith will do for another...You watch me and this Mr. Cessna man here, I'll be the first preacher to buy a brand new, spankin' new, brand new jet that will fly all over this world. Get that sucker out of that glass hanger!...You can say all you want, Jack. I'll fly by your house and tip the wing. I'm gonna get something for Jesus. I'm gonna do something for God.”
"Essentially what it says is that God turns His vast resources to our account. It's up to us whether we will make a withdrawal or just stare at the numbers wishing we had what they stood for. Healing and prosperity are God's, but Jesus has deposited them into our account through His death and resurrection. Will we receive what He died to give us?
If we do, the Lord will keep on filling our account. When we start making withdrawals He'll heap more than we asked for into our hands. More healing, more prosperity, more peace! Sure, the religious world will squawk! They'll try to condemn you for living a life of peace, joy, prosperity, and health. They'll scowl, criticize and judge you. They don't want you to have "too much!" They'd prefer it if you were broke, sick, and full of worry, like them! Misery loves company, they say.
I've had some people get mad at me because it's been forever since I've been sick. The same ones get mad at me if I wear nice clothes or drive a nice car. And they get even more furious to see me smiling and happy, full of peace and joy, with a great marriage and a kid who is serving Jesus. Oh, it gets them mad to see me blessed with all that good stuff!"
(Jesse Duplantis, "Make a Holy Ghost Withdrawal!" Article C-Faith)
"Knowing Jesus isn't dull. In fact, if you think about it, it's pretty exciting! Conversing with the maker of the universe? Whew! It's enough to blow your mind! Yet, it is amazing how many Christians don't really think of their relationship with the Lord that way. When I was lost and in the world I can't remember how many times dull and miserable-looking Christians tried to convert me. They'd drone, "You need to meet Jesus Christ and make Him Lord of your life," in that nasal Southern monotone. Most of the Christians I met looked so sick, broke and bored that I felt sorry for them. I thought I should be converting them! T heir lives didn't appeal to me at all! Most were fighting all kinds of afflictions - and they wanted me to get in the same boat with them!"
(Jesse Duplantis, "Knowing Jesus Isn't Dull" Article C-Faith)
"God gave me a revelation on sowing and reaping right there on the pavement as I jogged. He expanded my thinking and showed me the reason and the method for prosperity, - not my way, but His way. That was all it took.God Doesn't Live in Poverty, Why Should You? ...We can refuse to allow a poverty mentality to choke out the great commission to Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. That's why there is nothing more important to me than fulfilling my call as an Evangelist. I want to preach this Gospel, so it can set people free from the bondage of sin, sickness, depression, poverty and anything else that is holding them back from walking free! ...The lies about Christian prosperity aren't freeing, they're suppressing and they show the dirt-digging, poverty mentality for what it really is - a lie from Satan for the sole purpose of hindering the Gospel message from reaching people. After all, if the devil can get believers so absorbed with their own financial struggles; most won't have the energy to think about others. And if they're bound by financial pressures all the time, who is going to believe them when they say that living for God can set them free?...On the cross, Jesus broke the power of sin! Jesus broke the power of hell, death and the grave! Jesus broke the power of sickness, disease and poverty!...When people sow seeds according to God's Word, they should expect to receive a harvest. They should expect that "what goes around comes around" - whether they're planting deeds or seeds!"
(Jesse Duplantis, "Dirt Digging Days Are Over! - Part 3," Article C-Faith)
"With fierce prayers and determination to see my mother healed, I started talking to God. "What is going on here?! I'm praying! Dad's praying! Why isn't she healed? You cannot allow death to defeat me, God. You made a covenant with me through Jesus' blood! And that covenant says by His stripes we were healed! Where is that healing? If you break this covenant with me, you'll have to cease to be God! You must keep covenant with me. You must obey your Word!"
I was honest with God. He knew how I felt, so what was the point in hiding it? I was confused. I was hurt. I didn't know what else to do.
That is when God spoke up, "Jesse, I have a covenant with you, yes. However, I have one with your mother as well. You are praying for her healing. She is praying in her heart for Me to take her home. Now, I will obey My Word. But you and your daddy are battling your mother's will. It is her life at stake. You have Me in a hard place, Jesse. Someone has got to give in. Get yourselves together and tell Me what I am to do!...I wonder how many have died because they were surrounded by unbelieving, negative-speaking people who sowed unbelief in a situation that requires pure belief?"
(Jesse Duplantis, "My Experience Doesn’t Change God’s Word," Article C-Faith)
"The devil is just stupid enough to make the Word of God come to pass. The boy doesn't have a lick of sense! You would think that he would leave us all alone just to try to prove the Word wrong. But, of course, he's too stupid to come up with any bright ideas.
When the devil sends trouble your way, don't buckle under his attack by singing, "Gloom, despair, and agony on me!" No way! Refuse to agree with that idiot! Don't major on the tribulation, major on the fact that Jesus has overcome the world. He's won! And we've been made more than conquerors through His victory!...When trouble comes in my life, I say to the devil,
You idiot! You've just proved the Word of God is true! And if this part is true, then it all is! So devil, get ready because I'm going to blast your plans for my defeat. Jesus made me victorious through His blood, and it's in His name that I command you to take your hands off my life! Devil, I enjoy telling you that you are defeated and I have overcome! I laugh at your trouble and enjoy not giving you the pleasure of seeing me buckle under it! You fool, get under my feet!"
(Jesse Duplantis, "Don't Be Shocked When Trouble Comes," Article C-Faith)
Note: What does the bible say about using this kind of language?
"Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves," Jude 8-10.
Creflo Dollar teaches that Jesus was not God and that Christan's are little god's. Ken Copeland teaches that Jesus never claimed to be God, when his blood poured out that it did not atone, Christian's are little god's, and that Jesus accepted the sin nature of Satan on the cross. Ken Copeland also teaches that God is the biggest failure in the bible. T. D. Jakes and Tommy Tenney deny the Trinity, they may use the word "Trinity" but they pour their own meaning into it. They believe in a god that plays three different roles. One as Father, one as Son, and one as the Holy Spirit. Like one man who is a Pastor, Father, and husband, this view is called modalism and it is heresy. Jesse Duplantis calls Christians the oppose the "Prosperity Gospel" Christian Terrorists, this was said in the context of an article dealing with September 11. Benny Hinn claimed to be speaking by the Spirit of God and then prophesied that the homosexuals in America would be killied with fire in the 1990's. He then said Fidel Castro would also die in the 1990's. These of course did not happen and prove that he is a false prophet. Benny Hinn also prounces physical harm to the children of Christian minister's that speak out against him. Can you see the problem with associating with these false teachers and false prophets? How could you associate with men that claim that Jesus was not God? How could you associate with men that deny the God of the Bible when they deny the Trinity? How could you associate with men that call christians "little god's?" How could you associate with a man that calls God the biggest failure in the Bible?
