My question is can the sound tones from this software be used as binaural beats?
Thank you very much in advance for your response to my question.

HI Karen,
You need two different frequencies to produce a bi-aural effect. One in
each ear piece.
E.g you can put 504Hz in one left ear piece and 510 Hz in the right ear piece
and produce 6 Hz and 1014 Hz

Thank you Ken.
So using this program I could do that right? Make two frequencies. Do they have to
be at the same time? or can one be recorded then another one or do they have to be
done at the same time?
Thank you for expending my knowledge about bi-naural beats.
Have a great day.

HI Karen,
If you are doing this for a living, then you need to know how it works.
You can buy recordings that already have a separate signal recorded on each channel. Left and Right. You normally wear headphones to listen to the tones. You can also have TWO frequency generators and produce a separate tone for each ear and decide for yourself WHICH frequencies you want to produce as binaural sum and difference frequencies. .
When you mix two pure audio frequency sine waves together, you get a phenomena called Heterodyning, and you produce TWO ADDITIONAL frequencies beyond the original two. One frequency is the SUM of the two original sine waves and the other frequency is the DIFFERENCE between the two original sine waves. Ideally, you would want the AMPLITUDE of the two original signals to be the same.
I can't recall if the NCH tone generator I link to on my web site offers the ability to produce a separate frequency in each channel. Perhaps, it does, I just can't remember off the top of my head.
Yes, the two frequencies are HEARD at the same time to get the effect, one in each ear. But you could record them separately and then play them back at the same time, one in each ear.
If the difference frequency is very low, the person won't necessarily hear it, but his brain will pick up the signal anyway. You could create the same DIFFERENCE frequency with any number of combinations. For example. if you wanted to produce 7.8 Hz as a difference frequency, then you could use any two frequency numbers that when subtracted one from the other would yield 7.8 Hz.
