I have question. I just picked up a form for a passport renewal and it has segment which says " electronic passport" and describes a new type of passport book containing an embedded electronic chip . They've found a way 'chip ' us; they don't give up.

I intend to go personally to the office and refuse the chipped passport and see what they will say. Anyway I thought I would share in case nobody else knew about this.

Yes, I was aware of that. They started that last year. I'm outraged as well. As if they don't have enough on you, they now have to follow you by GPS satellite wherever you go. It's completely unacceptable.

There are plenty of people who have 10 year passports without chips in them and you are entitled to the same. You need to dig in and really make a big stink and see what they do. They may buckle under if you adamantly refuse.

Let me know what happens when you go there. I need to find out if you can opt out or not. It may be an incentive for those idiots who want to be checked in first by electronic clearance, etc.

Let me know what happens and don't agree to the chip.
