Dear Mr. Adachi,
Does the CS generator make ionic as well as colloidal silver? I have read on
silver facts.com that both have their positive features. Mention is made of
being sure that one knows how many ppm one is getting in each batch. I am new to
the topic of making one's own silver . Can you enlighten me on what your
product does and how it compares to puppy silver?
Thank you.

Hi Diana,
I wrote about this issue a couple of times in past years. The term ionic silver and colloidal silver are misapplied and the person making the argument does not understand the true meaning of those words.
An "ionic" solution simply means a solution with ions in it. Ions are atoms which either have one (or more) missing electron from its outer orbit or have acquired one (or more) electrons in its outer orbit. Ions possess properties which are different from the atom from which it came in its natural state.
A "colloidal" solution (or a colloid) refers to particles which are in true suspension, which means that the particles don't settle and fall to the bottom of the container. They remain in suspension.
In most instances, colloidal silver is made by electrolysis and that causes silver atoms to come off the silver wire as IONS with a missing electron from its outer orbit, so that these silver ions have a net positive charge on them. They are therefore properly called silver IONS, not silver atoms, in the same atomic state as the silver atoms which compose the silver wire. Silver ions in suspension in a solution of water is called "colloidal silver"
Therefore, colloidal silver is BOTH a colloid solution AND an ionic solution.
