The server, Lunar Pages, sent me an e-mail on Saturday night claiming that they had to take my web site offline because it was somehow threatening ths stability of the server that I share with other web sites. I was told on Sunday morning that they could look into it, but I'd had to pay a $50 fee. I said OK, but I got no difinitve answer from them other then I was getting a "high hit rate".
I told them that I had much more traffic in the ealier months of this year and never heard one word of complaint from them, so why would September create a problem when I was getting half the traffic that I got in May or January? I didn't really get a straight answer but I was told that I would have to consider getting a dedicated server, which I did arranged for, but the cost is far greater that what I was paying for a shared server.
We're now back up, but I'll be arranging for other mirror sites to prevent being taken offline again in the same manner and have my web site go dark for such long periods of time.
Sincerely, Ken Adachi
