Ken;
I hope you and the family had a peaceful Christmas...I re-read the
third part of Spirituality tonight (I re-read lots of your articles; they are a
never-ending source of comfort....like the lone 6' star made of Christmas lights
somewhere near Poughkeepsie, N.Y., that I used to drive past on my way to work one
Autumn)...the spirituality articles are read daily, as I feel their cry in my heart
24/7.)
It is, was, and always will be, my fervent prayer that Peace and Kindness win this
battle, and that the soldiers, sailors, Marines, airmen, and Coast Guard, one
beautiful day, can drop their weapons, take up their baseball bats, irrespective of
country, and learn Robert Fulgham's Kindergarten rules:
1) If you hurt somebody, say you're sorry.
2) When you cross the street, hold hands.
3) When out in the world, look out for each other.
4) Eat more cookies, drink more milk.
5) Forgive each other.
6) Take an afternoon nap. Every day.
7) Buy yourself a box of Crayola crayons. Use the brightest colours in the box to
describe your world; if you can't, look for inspiration elsewhere.
Rule number Eight is my rule for myself:
When you sing, you pray twice. It's Rumi's rule; He was a Dervish; a fervent
servant of God. And he never suffered a greatly sad day, I'm told, as a result of
his songs, his poetry.
Blessings to everyone involved in this site; contributors, supporters, champions,
and readers alike. Our Day WILL Come.
