I was curious about the use of the "peoplepc.com" domain name for this phony phishing expedition when I noticed that there were TWO dots after the "peoplepc" part. The other thing was the "TK" after http://UPDATEYOURPEOPLEPC.TK
Where the heck
is TK I ask myself?
I Looked it up: Tokelau. It's a group of three Pacific Islands administered by New Zealand. They're located halfway between New Zealand and Hawaii.
The legitimate fishing must be wonderful there, but
I wonder why their government makes it so easy for Internet scammers to operate from there and soil their reputation? Perhaps someone from NZ can contact the administrators of Tokelau and ask them to apply some of their Eschelon spying crap to something positive and useful. Maybe they could arrange to dash these scammers hope "to continue to doing business with you".
