"And Your Social Security Number?" (Nov. 26, 2006)

You know, when you try to sign up for a cell phone, or cable TV, or whatever...and they say  "No, you HAVE to give me your Social Security Number, or you cannot have the service"!

Well, here is the form.

This is FYI. Folks should be aware that disclosure of their SS# is NOT mandatory and Public Law 93-579 imposes a $1,000 fine on those asking for their SS#. The SS# is the primary culprit in Identity Theft.
