hello ken,
I have been reading articles on your site for about half a year now and i believe
there is a lot of good info on here. It seems to me that anything you disagree with
or don't like automatically becomes a "illuminate conspiracy". I mean gay marriage,
women activist, zeitgeist, i feel sometimes like its illuminate Mccarthyism and in
its self spreads fear just because you disagree with it. I know you have disclaimers
on the site saying that this stuff is your opinion but in the articles it is
presented as fact which is misleading. I just think its kind of hypocritical how you
preach freedoms, small government, fighting back, and then you slam groups that are
fighting for their own freedoms. We are all in this together and believe it or not,
not everything in this world you find "sinful" or against YOUR ideas are part of the
illuminate agenda.
take care,
John

Dear John,
My web site is a reflection of my opinions. You are free to put up a web site which ventilates YOUR opinions.
If you think that feminism, (which you identify as 'women activists'), or Zeitgeist, or the promotion of gay marriages are just ordinary folk struggling for their "freedom" and these controversies have nothing to do with backroom Illuminati manipulators working to destroy the moral fabric of this nation, then that is YOUR opinion, but It doesn't happen to be mine.
If you want to compete in the market place of ideas, then waste no time in putting up your own web site and type away to your heart's content.
If it turns out that your perceptions on these matters are more valid than mine, then the world will beat a path to your web site and drink in your interpretation of the "facts" and leave me in the dust. That's the way the world works.
I promise you that I won't send you an e-mail accusing you of McCarthyism or of being a "hypocrit", based on the notion that your opinions are in conflict with mine. If fact, I wouldn't be reading your site at all if I thought you weren't on the beam.
So why are you reading my web site and sending me e-mail complaining about my opinions? Are there not a few thousand Leftist, liberal web sites out there (like NPR or Amy Goodman, or Sonali Kolhatgar) who would be in total agreement with your views and would love to hear your ringing endoesements of those views?
Just an observatrion.
Sincerely, Ken

ken,
Thanks for the reply. If you notice never did i accuse you or say that you were hypocritical, i just said that was my opinion, sounds to me like someone has trouble taking a little criticism. I, contrary to your pre judgment, am far from a leftist, more of a libertarian, Swing and a miss my friend. I read your site because there is a lot of good information on it. i take what i like and leave the rest. I also like how you don't take crap from people. Thanks for the advice, i might just start up my own site.
take care,
John

Hello John,
Did you write these words in your first e-mail?
" I just think its kind of hypocritical how you preach freedoms, small government, fighting back, and then you slam groups that are fighting for their own freedoms. "
And these words in your second e-mail?
" If you notice never did i accuse you or say that you were hypocritical, i just said that was my opinion, sounds to me like someone has trouble taking a little criticism"
Perhaps when you put up your web site you can call it "The Contrarian Opine."
