Comet Linear blew up October 21, 2013. The explosion was similar to Comet Holmes in 2007. This was probably a nuclear bomb too big to test on or near Earth. There have also been large [nuclear bomb] tests in the atmosphere of Jupiter during the past six years.
When Comet Holmes exploded in 2007, the debris field expanded to the size of Jupiter in a day and to the size of the sunin a week. The Comet Linear in the attached article was about a quarter of the diameter of the sun about one day after its explosion. The debris field of Comet Holmes is in a comet orbit and now out past Saturn going away from the sun and still expanding. It may be a sphere the size of Mercury's orbit. When it returns, the ice and other crystals may be as large as Earth's orbit. The meteor shower of the returning Comet Holmes will be definitive and spectacular. Some of the crystals, which do not sublimate in the solar glare, will be hazardous to space craft and satellites.
Comet Linear is 450 million miles from Earth on the farside of the sun. The article reports it was photographed 16 degrees above the dawn horizon. It is in the asteroid belt between Jupiter and Mars. If it is speeding towards the sun, we may have a dazzling meteor shower in early 2014. We may lose satellites. Hopefully the crystals will all evaporate.
Exploding comets is a dangerous thing to do. They can come back and bite you. If the coordinators of the secret space program were simply testing a newly developed weapon system, then they chose the wrong test area. They have now destroyed two comets in six years. There may have been others. Maybe we were not supposed to know about Comet Linear as it is on the far side of the solar system. An Italian astronomer scheduled time on a New Mexico telescope and now the world knows. Maybe it is a circuitous and plausibly deniable doomsday scenario concocted by another Dr. Strangelove?
Comets are living beings. They are ancient and wise. Their plasma bodies extends hundreds of thousands of miles from their seed like cores. The sun erupted with many flares since October 21 2013. The solar angels cried in anguish.
Are the detonations of bombs in comets attempts to coax coronal mass ejections from the sun? Is there a bomb being placed insideComet ISON? Comets are the children of the sun and the sun will protect its children including life on earth.
In meditation on the images from Spaceweather.com on October 27 2013, I saw that the 50 megaton nuclear bomb blasted away 17% of the comet's core and the core is now pinwheeling.
The earth will pass into the Comet Linear explosion field mid-May of 2014. The meteor shower should be spectacular.
The explosion velocity of one kilometre per sec is proof of a nuclear blast. A chemical or mechanical blast would be a fraction of that speed. An impact with an asteroid would be one sided, not spherical.
There are two 50 megaton bombs implanted into Comet ISON.
The intent is to detonate on the opposite side of the sun from the earth. Coronal mass ejections are emitted on the opposite side of the sun from the comet explosion point or comet impact point. The CME would be directly aimed at earth. The sun will divert the CME away from earth.
The being who is the comet survived the blast on October 20 2013 and 83% of the comet core is intact.
Cbet No. 3674, issued on 2013 October 21, reports an outburst in brightness of comet C/2012 X1 (LINEAR). The magnitude of the comet was measured by H. Sato on on Oct. 20.5 to be total mag 8.5 (as measured within a circular aperture of diameter 85".2) with a brighter center about 10" across. The predicted H_10 magnitude for C/2012 X1 (LINEAR) would be around 14 now.
We performed follow-up measurements of this object on 2013 October 21.51. Below you can see our image of this comet, stacking of 3x20-seconds unfiltered exposures, obtained remotely from MPC code H06 (iTelescope Observatory, New Mexico) through a 0.50-m f/6.8 astrograph + CCD + f/4.5 focal reducer. At the moment of the imaging session, the comet was just +16 degree above the horizon and the Sun was -11 degree. Click on it for a bigger version.
The comet shows a morphology similar to the outburst of comet 17P/Holmes in 2007: the C/2012 X1 disk-like coma diameter is about 105" and the sharp central condensation is ~15" across with magnitude ~11.
Below you can see an elaboration of the original image with the MCM filter. This filter creates an artificial coma, based on the photometry of the original image, and subtract the original image itself in order to highlight the internal zones of different brightness that are very close to the inner core and that would normally be hidden from the diffuse glow of the comet.
Below you can see the magnitude graph of C/2012 X1 (click on the image for a bigger version).
