The Greatest Act of Legislative Treason: ‘Indefinite Detention’ Bill Passes Senate 93-7
By Paul Joseph Watson, Prison Planet.com

December 2, 2011http://www.prisonplanet.com/indefinite-detention-bill-passes-senate-93-7.html
Americans completely stripped of all rights under Section 1031
The Senate last night codified into law the power of the U.S. military to indefinitely detain an American citizen with no charge, no trial and no oversight whatsoever with the passage of S. 1867, the National Defense Authorization Act.
One amendment that would have specifically blocked the measures from being used against U.S. citizens was voted down and the final bill was passed 93-7.
Another amendment introduced by Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Dianne Feinstein that attempted to bar the provision from being used on American soil, an effort to ensure “the military won’t be roaming our streets looking for suspected terrorists,” also failed, although Feinstein voted in favor of the bill anyway.
Feinstein was able to include a largely symbolic amendment which states that “nothing in the bill changes current law relating to the detention of U.S. citizens and legal aliens,” but this measure is meaningless according to Republican Congressman Justin Amash, a fierce critic of the bill.
“Some have asserted that Sen. Feinstein’s amendment, S Amdt 1456, protects the rights of American citizens and preserves constitutional due process. Unfortunately, it does not. It’s just more cleverly worded nonsense,” Amash wrote on his Facebook page.
Though the White House has threatened to veto the bill, the fact that Obama administration lawyers yesterday reaffirmed their backing for state sponsored assassination of U.S. citizens would suggest otherwise. Not voting for the bill, or in other words upholding the oath to protect the Constitution, has been described over and over again as “political suicide”.
“The bill puts military detention authority on steroids and makes it permanent, American citizens and others are at greater risk of being locked away by the military without charge or trial,” said Christopher Anders, senior legislative counsel for the American Civil Liberties Union.
As Spencer Ackerman highlights
http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2011/12/senate-military-detention/
, the bill completely violates the sixth amendment in that it allows American citizens to be locked up indefinitely, including in a foreign detention center, without any burden of proof whatsoever. An American merely has to be declared a terrorist and they can be abducted off the streets and never seen again.
“The detention mandate to use indefinite military detention in terrorism cases isn’t limited to foreigners. It’s confusing, because two different sections of the bill seem to contradict each other, but in the judgment of the University of Texas’ Robert Chesney — a nonpartisan authority on military detention — “U.S. citizens are included in the grant of detention authority,” writes Ackerman.

RT America Anchor and Correspondent, Liz Wahl, in Washington, DC, Interviews Paul Craig Roberts, in Panama City, Florida: Keeping Torture Alive
Transcription: December 2, 2011
Transcription by: <kamele2353@gmail.com>Reporter Liz Wahl: Well, Keeping Torture Alive, a bill in the Senate is calling for a return to Bush era torture. A freshman lawmaker introduced the Amendment, which would undo President Obama's Executive Order banning torture as an interrogation technique. That Amendment also aims to bring back a - quote: "classified set of torture tactics", so this would deem certain forms of torture as allowed, but the public isn't allowed to know what they are. So, why is Congress so gung-ho about torturing tactics? Former Reagan administration official and columnist Paul Craig Roberts joins us now. Welcome, Paul. Why are we seeing this renewed push for harsh interrogation practices?
Paul Craig Roberts: Well, if you're talking about the Detainee Policy that's in the Defense Authorization Bill, which allows the U.S. military to pick up people in every country of the world, which includes China, and Russia, and the United States, and hold them indefinitely, then we're talking about something that's far greater than a torture policy. We're talking about the repeal of The United States Constitution. And what we see from the vote against the Amendment by Rand Paul, the Republican Senator from Kentucky, to exempt American citizens from this Amendment to the Defense Authorization Bill that would allow the military to simply pick up any American citizen anywhere on Earth, and hold them indefinitely and without charges.
What we see is that Rand Paul's Amendment got voted down by the U.S. Senate. So, we have the U.S. Senate consisting of all except 2 Republicans, plus 15 Democrats voting to repeal The United States Constitution.
Liz: Now another - there is some question as to whether these harsh interrogation tactics are also constitutional - for example: water boarding. That was once torture; now it's considered not torture, or they're trying to bring it back. It's like the definition of this is unclear. And now there's this classified list to - which would make it so Americans don't even know what forms of torture are allowed. Why is there this push to allow the U.S. to engage in torture?
Paul: Well, I don't know why we're focused merely on torture, since we're talking about this Detainee Policy. The United States government executed Japanese, following World War II, for water boarding people. So, the position of the United States government is that water boarding is torture. We've actually executed people for doing it. So, I don't see how they can ever say that it's not torture. But what we're up against is more than the lawlessness of the United States government in violating American statutory laws against torture, which are on the books, and against violating the Geneva Conventions. But what we're talking about is an Amendment to the Defense Authorization Bill, which permits the United States government to use the military in violation of the Posse Comitatus Act, which has been in place since 1876.
And to use the military to arrest American citizens and hold them in indefinite detention, with no recourse to courts of law - now this constitutes the repeal of The United States Constitution. And when you find that we have 60 members of the elected Congress, who have supported this, then what we see is the United States is on its way to being a Police State. Only 2 Republicans in the Senate voted against this Amendment - only 2. So, what do we know? We now have a Republican Party that is a Gestapo Party. It is in favor of United States military arresting American citizens and putting them in concentration camps. And that's what's happening right now before us in front of our eyes.
Liz: And so what does this have to say about the climate in Congress and the climate in politics, and if it continues on this track what America could end up looking like?
Paul: Well, Obama says he's going to veto this. And according to The Washington Monthly, which is a very long-standing Washington publication, the Senate voted this way - all but 2 Republicans, plus 15 Democrats - they all voted to give this power to the military, despite the fact that The White House, the Pentagon, the FBI, and the CIA, the Director of National Intelligence, and the Head of the Justice Department's National Security Division all told the Senate, "Don't vote for this. It's a very bad idea." And yet they did. And so the question really comes to: Who wrote this Amendment? You see, they stuck it on the Defense Authorization Bill, because they assumed that most Senators don't want to vote against National Defense.
But who wrote this Amendment? What is the purpose of it? What is the agenda? This is the question that's unanswered. What is the reason for this Amendment?
Liz: And well, you know, some arguments proponents of this Amendment say that this is all in the name of safety. Does the U.S. need to go this route in order to stay safe from terrorist threats?
Paul: Look, what terrorist threats are they talking about? Since September 11, 2001, more than a decade ago, there have been no terrorist instances in the United States, except those orchestrated by the FBI. There are no terrorist instances. Despite the effort of Washington to create terrorism by bombing a half a dozen Muslim countries, we're still completely safe. Homeland Security hasn’t caught a single terrorist. There's no terrorist activity in the United States, therefore there is no basis for this type of a response. There's some other agenda going, and I think what it is, is to shut down the critics of government, because the critics of government are now exposing…
Liz: Okay, Paul, I'm sorry, we're just running out of time there. Thank you so much for your thoughts on this. That was former Reagan administration official and columnist, Paul Craig Roberts.
Seven Patriots Remain
[Note from Ken Adachi: The seven Senators listed below are apparently the only reliable patriots remaining in the U.S. Senate who understand their oath of office to uphold the United States Constitution and protect the principles of liberties of American citizens that are enshrined within that constitution. It's a disappointment that this list does not include the name of Tom Udall, but political expediency apparently will win out over principle when it comes to the reality of political life and standing up for what you preach ~ regardless of the political cost. Perhaps thinking Americans who read these words will take the time to call or e-mail each of these seven patriots and tell them just how much you appreciate their loyalty to the Constitution and to the American people. Readers should understand that this bill has not yet become law.
The House version of this bill was passed on May 26 , 2011 with a roll call vote of 322 in favor and 96 opposed
Currently, the House is working on smoothing out the differences between the Senate version and the House version, H-1540. After the differences are smoothed out, the bill will go to the Usurper for his signature. It's been rumored that the Usurper won't sign the bill with the 'Indefinite detention' amendment intact, but that's merely specualtion and not a hard fact. Also, an Obama veto could be overturned with enough votes in the Senate and the House. We are living in perilous times indeed. ]

To: Ken AdachiHello Ken,
It is getting scary in the USA. Americans are also being targeted for watching the police:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5AMN33aQYo
Seems urgent that some get out of the US. Do you have any thoughts on getting out?
In 2003, I planed to go to Mexico to live but as soon I got ready to make the move, Mexico fell apart. Perhaps the US/UK alliance will target every nation before long. You have been posting or writing about many counters and alternatives in medicine, chemtrails, etc., but I cannot see how we can fight this since the hope to"Wake up America" has been out there of a long time.
I hope to hear some of your views on this some time.
Thanks and God Bless, Herb

Hi Herb,
If you have a lot of money, you could run to South America I suppose, and get by okay--until the day comes that they start dong a number on South America (after America falls), and then all bets are off.
If you lack money and influence, however, living in a foreign country is not going to be easy. Just getting and keeping a visa to legally stay there will be a headache; unless you decide on a dirt poor, flea bag, third world country, In that case, YOU won't be able to earn any real money. How are you going to make a living?
It seems more intelligent to stay her and fight, otherwise the NWO is going to take over the entire world. Is that what you want?
Try fighting them AFTER they take over versus trying to stop them now while you still have a chance; while you still have the ballot and still have the courts. Look what happened to the people involved in the plot to take out Hitler at the Wolf's lair in 1944.
It's much easier to prevent cancer, than trying to stop it once it takes hold. Running away won't stop the NWO, but people who fight--will.
Best Regards,Ken
