[Editor's Note: The e-mails printed below are remarks traded between High Noon ( part 1, 2 ) constitutional activist Rick Stanley and Bud Ford over the upcoming June 17 meeting at the Manitou Springs city council concerning the recent passage of a city ordinance to ban guns in certain locations of Manitou Springs, a violation of the Colorado state constitution according to Rick Stanley. Rick frames the loss of our liberties very succinctly in these exchanges. The vast majority of Americans, We the Sheeple, are simply blind and indifferent to the ongoing whittling away of our constitutional liberites and the imposition of tyranny in its place. What he's saying is true. His assessemnt of how and why we are sliding into fascist tyranny is accurate. His actions, however, speak loudest of all. These Communists, Socialists and Fascists in government disgust me. I will be down in Manitou on June 17, to PERSONALLY show my contempt for these TRAITORS to the State Constitution and the National Constitution. You try and steal one of my Constitutional Rights, and you will steal the rest if I allow it. I won't. I will be there to speak to the City Council of Manitou Springs and I dare them to try and have me arrested. You see, I have been there already, and that doesn't scare me. You people had better be afraid of "We the People" of the State of Colorado, who will not tolerate this treason from those in government. See you on the 17th of June. I will be armed to the teeth, which is my right as a citizen of this state. I will not accept any interference of this right. Cowards committing treason should be a hanging offense in Colorado. There probably won't be any others to stand with me, and I won't ask either, but one man in this state is not a coward, and will demand that his Constitutional Rights be upheld when he passes through a city in Colorado such as Manitou Springs. What has happened to the heritage and birthright of a free America, defended vigourously by those in government who have sworn an oath to defend the Constitutions? These scumbags disgust me. While holding them in lowest contempt, I will still DEMAND they do their duty and uphold the Constitutions. Damn Politicians who would sell out America at the drop of a nickel.

Mr. Stanley,

The only thing being proposed is a ban on open carry in the city hall and parks. I am not a member of city council but I will be there to observe. I would think that you wouldn't want to threaten or intimidate any council member as there are laws against that. Also I am sure there will be many with concealed carry permits that will be there to monitor the activity.

I don't threaten. I may intimidate. Have no control over that. I made a statement of fact. I am coming with my weapon, and I don't really care if someone is intimidated or not. It is my right. As I have demonstrated before, I don't care if a City tries to deny my rights or not. I will exercise my rights, regardless of how they try and make illegal and unconstitutional ordinances or not. You however made an implied threat to me with your concealed carry statement, that I should not threaten or intimidate.

As I said before, I don't threaten. Intimidation is not against the law in spite of you trying to infer it is. Intimidation requires one person to "feel" intimidated. I don't care whether one is intimidated or not. How do you think America feels about the intimidation of our gun rights being stolen from those in government that feel they can use the power of intimidation to push these unconstitutional and illegal laws through so that treasonous judges will uphold them, because they are paid municipal employees?

Get a grip man. Being a Neo-conservative just plays into the fascists hands. State law does not allow the banning of weapons openly carried in Parks. Simple as that. I understand that this ban is within the city limits totally, correct me if I am wrong, with proof of same. By the way, I have never threatended anyone, or pointed my gun at anyone in my life. I have defended myself with fists hundreds of times, when attacked with positive results. That does set me apart from the average American, and does give me an edge, gun or no gun.

I carry and hold myself with an acquired manner, through experience. I am not intimidated. I am a prudent man though, and do know the limitations of the human man. Guns are a defensive mechanism to defend your home, business, property, person, family or friend, or perhaps an innocent American. It is a responsibility.

You defend your unconstitutional city council and take all the pride in that you want. Sad day when Americans will defend the unconstitutional politicians in government from stealing our heritage and birthright of a free America that abides by the US and State Constitutions. You need help man, but I will not tolerate this unconstitutional rights taking in my state, whether you like it or not.

I will point out for you since you obviously do not get it: There are no threats in here to you, implied or otherwise. However, I would think twice about pulling a weapon on me or any other Patriot who is defending the US and State Constitutions. I will not hesitate in the least to DEFEND myself. Understand that before you direct a gun barrel at me. That also covers me in case you do, as I believe you "implied' you might, with your defense of the city council statement.

You have no reason to fear me, until the split second you pull a weapon on me. Your concealed carry permit sounds like a badge of honor for you. Free men don't need permission to carry a weapon. Your permit is an abomination to me. It tells me you have the "privelage" accorded you, by those who have unconstitutional power, and impresses only those who share your need to ask for permission to be free. I don't and never will. I know you don't understand that concept as you have sold out as a Neo-Conservative that accomodates their fascism. I don't. Never will. We the people have a duty to insure those in government stay within the boundries of the US and State Constitutions. The "smallest" deviation is unaceptable", as that is how they have incrementaly destroyed the founding documents in the first place. People like me will insure that the Cosntitutions are restored in this company, and woe is the fool who would try and stop us. Did I say fool? Yep. Although I am a gun owner I do not have a carry permit nor have I ever felt the need to carry concealed or open for my or my familie's safety. I won't even be at the meeting because of ill health, but look forward to hearing what transpires. I don't have the good fortune to be able to physically fight as you refer to, but I know that we all have different ways of dealing with life. I do respect your rights to your opinion and your actions as long as they don't impinge on my constitutional rights. It sounds like both you and I obey the law. Of course our council would be ill advised to enact a law that would be against the state law. Do you have the text of the current state law available? As I understand it the state legislature made it so the law doesn't apply to them in their buildings? I went ahead and looked at the text of the ordinance passed on first reading. It refers to municipal buildings, parks and trails only. I have informed the council that I feel it should only refer to the court and city hall.

Thank you Bud Ford:

You have hit the nail on the head with this e-mail. They can post signs for government buildings to not allow weapons inside, and not allow the carrying of weapons in those buildings with that posting. That is it, nothing more. I will be bringing the State Constitution, dealing with our right to carry openly anywhere in the state of Colorado, the Homerule section telling municipalities they may not violate any of our Constitutional rights with their ordinances, which is right out of the statute allowing cities to have homerule and make ordinances, and the new new statute SB-25 which really only says what the Colorado Constitution already said. I am still fighting in the courts regarding this issue prior to the March 18 signing of SB-25 by the governor, in which I have 2 convictions which the lower courts have imposed unconstitutioanlly and illegally, but which the higher courts either have upheld, or refused to hear because they wish to violate my Constitutional rights and have taken the cowardly position not to hear my case, so they don't have to make a ruling on it.

Most of these judges are liberals. Liberals/Socialists or Fascists/Neo-conservatives: it doesn't matter as they are making unconstitutional ordinances/laws/statutes to take away Americans rights at the local level, and than the cowardous and treasonous judges violate their oath of office to defend the Constitutions by upholding the unconstitutional and illegal ordinances/laws/statutes to perpetuate the money, power and control against the people of America. This is done not only locally in Colorado, but all across the US.

This is how the conspiracy by those in government is being accomplished to steal our rights, property, assets, children, guns, etc... That is my fight. Not just guns. Not just unconstitutional taxes, etc. This is about the heritage and birthright of a Constitutional America which is the basis for government authority to govern, being stolen from us by those in government who have a different agenda: The total Police State of America, with them profiting, and the people suffering, all the while making us think that they are a benevolent RULER. What a con. What a lie.
